PSP LogoWe have here now Dabomstew's Beta 3.0X OE Easy Version Changer v3.0, a day after this application's first release. Now, there have been a couple of changes already since then (and we're not surprised in the slightest bit since these devs seem to be working overtime lately).

What's new here since the first release? This one now supports 3.02 OE-A and OE-B. Also, it now reads your current version from systemctrl.prx as the default rather than always starting with 3.03 OE-A. Plus, there's now a reset to default function, wherein it automatically changes version in the editor to your FW's default.

This version also now has an added 3.03 OE-A support. Apart from that, the 3.03 OE-A character limit is still 10, while others are still at nine.

Anyhow, make sure to check out the Read me for the usage instructions. That's the safest way to go. Oh, and you can also check out the forums for updates and whatnots. Dabomstew assures that he will be releasing updates if there are problems discovered.
So, just keep it posted here.

Does this app (or this version of it) allow you to write special characters? I'm trying to get the russian reversed R but I only end up with kanji characters when doing it manually

 » This bricked my PSP..

No iīm not a noob at all.
Iīve been folowing the PSP scene for exactly a year now, and i have been using all the hacks that came out, since the 2.60 downgrader.
I have a good knowledge of how to use flashing apps.

This time i thought confident and didnīt test it in devhook first.

That desicion was fatal for me, as i found out around 14 seconds later, that i had just bricked my PSP.

Iīve been trying every method available, but find it impossible to recover my PSP.

I canīt recover 1.50 because i camīt launch any eboots.

and i have tried everything else possible, but still have this 250 $ brick.

Iīm gonna try to turn it in, and see if the store will give me a new one.

So to all the old guys rutined guys like me, who feel confident with flashing, and donīt think that much about the possible consiquences:

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO TEST EVERYTHING IN DEVHOOK

Re: Hopeful helper (Unregistered) - 2007-01-07
 » Perhaps?

Perhaps you should try renaming the folder to be recovery, and launch the recovery eboot from the recovery menu. They have an option to launch ms0:/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP, and in there if you put this app's eboot, you could re-flash it to say 3.03 OE or what it was originally.

Re: Another questioner (Unregistered) - 2007-01-07
 » Good question.

Hey, thanks for asking this, I was wondering the same thing. I may just wait til X-Flash is out next, though, which will be like... couple hours. Art is pretty dependable. :)

 » Unbricked!!

I unbricked my PSP again, i had flashed the systemctrl.prx in the 'flash0/kd' folder instead of 'flash0/kn' lol...

now it says: Firmware version: DAX Wax-A'
