We at QJ pay much attention to our readers. Believe it or not, we actually heed your requests, comments and all other stuff that you send us. Well, one of our readers, Jordan just sent us a treat via mail. It's a video of his USB mod for the Undiluted Platinum modchip. We admit that the video's not that crystal-clear, but we're pretty sure you can make out Jordan's crafty mod. |

first!
not to shabby of a idea. might do it to mine.
and to number 1 your a noob. end.
2ND AND THIRD
Cool, how can I contact this guy to do it for me and get him to make a guide for it?
ALL modchips come with an extra USB
A mod of a mod thats great
don't be mad cuz u wanted that spot :) .
A noob is one which is new at something
ur a noob when it comes to comes to insulting.
Y do u care that i got first post? i got it, i'm happy, if ur not happy for me then i dont give a f*ck. Get on with ur life and stop caring about mine.
I also have this Mod on my UP chip USB connection. I think it is important to give credit to the person who came up with this Mod. The guy goes under the user name ''Xland'' on the Maxconsole forum. I am not surprised no one mentioned who actually created this Mod because no one seems to give credit where it is due on this site.
It is a very important Mod because without it, there is a very high potential of the USB cable wearing out since it is so fragile.
all i gotta say is kewl
and 1 more thing, people who post "1st" should get a life and stop hitting refresh to c if there's a new thread up.
i was actually checking for a new thread since i saw a hell lot of homebrew for 2.80 tonight ( the font pack being the last i checked)
and y the hell do u care if i post firsT?
does it hurt u on the inside?
seriously man shut that sh*t up and live with it
dumbåss number 9
i have 6 psp's, i will soon try, three of them have ^'s in the,
so he added in a usb port to connect directly to the modchip? i guess that makes it easier to mod the firmware and change firmwares and all. maybe use the modchip as an extra storage unit to an extent. pretty nice mod i must say
We didn't source MaxConsole as this mod was made and submitted in by one of our readers. Maybe you would like to submit the link to the other modification via submit tips and we could cover it.
Suggesting random sites as "the source" without a direct link to the topic for more information isn't helping. Especially those who would be interested in replicating this modification for themselves.
Mods are here
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=213434&postcount=1
There are actually 3.
Thanks
That's tight. Great mod.
have u seen the mod where it uses the same usb port that the psp already has. so instead of 2 usb connections, you have 1!!
Before I rant at Joel, very nice mod. Now, to the rant.
Joel: "A noob is one which is new at something"
That's not entirely accurate, Joel. A "newbie" is someone new to something, and tries his best to figure it out (search engines, using Search in a forum) before he asks politely on how to do it from others. When accomplished, the newbie thanks those who helped him, and one day helps other newbies as he was helped.
A "noob" is a totally different animal. A noob does not read the rules, does not use the Search function in forums, and most will not thank anyone. A noob will demand an answer, get their answer and leave. Very rude indeed; it's very hard to imagine what kind of person they are in real life.
You, Joel, are a noob.
wasn't there a mod exactly like this one posted a while ago? and i'm pretty sure it was here...
uh huh
yeah, if you upgraded to 2.8, yer def a n00b
It's a great idea, but the placement seems a little weird. my hand would just cover it. I didn't know the UP could add a usb port, but wouldn't it make more sense to put the computer end (sorry i can't remember the terminology) so you could add a thumb drive? maybe at the psp's bottom beside the serial.
Sorry Jamie M. but the guys link actually does look really nice and it does have 3 tutorial type things and it does infact look like X-land created that mod and posted it on 6-8-06 and he even watermarked his photos.
yeah that's a cool mod. if i could afford one of those chips i'd totally get it.
to those people calling each other "noobs" and whatnot-for the people posting "1st" stop doing that. it's not what the comments are for. second-its understandable how people can get annoyed with those idiots posting "1st! 1137!!" but please don't respond to it. if you have nothing positive to say or an opinion about the article please don't post.
because people are doing this a lot of other people don't bother with commenting anymore. please stop.
I believe you are missing the point. I was ASKING our readers to share the link to the how-to so that others could find out more about it if they were interested.
Furthermore, the modification that is shown in the article was submitted to us by Jordan (who also shared the link I was asking for). Stop trying to make something outta nothing. ;)
***** u al and i did all of u moms
25th post!! w00t!!

If you were given a link to the original creator of the mod in the first place; surely it is more important to source the creator rather than the person who summited the news to you.
You wouldnt get away with only sourcing an informer with an emulator rather than the actual creator. So why are you trying to get away with it with a mod
I could understand it if you didnt know who the orignal creator was when you sumitted the news,
"the modification that is shown in the article was submitted to us by Jordan (who also shared the link I was asking for)."
But that would sugest you did.
Simply put - I dont think thats it fair that you do not mention x-land (the original creators) name once in the article
Alright rant over :)
and what exactly did i impolitely ask?
how was i rude by typing "first" .where the other guys rude by callling me a noob? yeah; you guys get mad for the simplest reason and i personally dont wanna know any of you in real life, internet meeting and everything....not really my style. I'm only an åss to people who names themselves asses. "hey cool i'm first to comment about this!" and then some random just comes at you and calls u an idiot. I mean i dont get it, what's his problem? omg i'm so f*cking mad you for showing signs of joy.
#1, #7, #10 & #27
You need to move out of your mothers basement and stop wasting space just to claim that your a *****got for getting the first post! Stop being such a F*cking loser and get a life and post about the artcle at hand! Notice that he keeps coming back to defend himself! What a hoser, go rape a goat!
i saw this video bare amounts of time ago!
JordanBlack posted it on the forums.

Sumitting news about a UP chip USB Mod without a direct link to the source also does not help your readers or the creator of the Mod. I thought part of submitting news was also to make some attempt at acquiring the source whether it was posted by one of your readers or not.
Simply asking ''did you create this Mod yourself?'' or ''where did you get the idea for this Mod from?'' would have given you the source (assuming that you didn't already know about it)
I remember Jordon giving feedback quite some time ago on Maxconsole about how good the UP chip install along with the USB Mod was so I do not believe he wouldn't credit the creator of the Mod.
If he didn't, then asking one simple question would have lead you to the source so really there is no excuse.
The reason why I did not give a direct link to the source is because you have been known to censor some site links with **** so I didn't bother on this occasion (my mistake). (However, anyone searching for Xland USB Mod would have seen the thread).
