PSP icon - Image 1Homebrew developer becus25 over at the QJ.NET Forums is announcing the release of his Random gameboots (rGameboot) v0.3 plugin for our usage. This open-edition (OE) firmware plugin allows PSP users to load and redirect their stored gameboots, with version 0.3 speeding up these two processes. As for the rest of the important notes:

  • More security
  • If your you do not have the archives opening_plugin.prx in the root of memory stick, rGameboot not them copy and therefore nonflock the file opening_plugin.prx of the FLASH0. With this they stop semi bricks .
  • If you do not have on memory stick the file "ms0:/rg/2/opening_plugin.prx" (example), rGameboot jump to file "ms0:/rg/3/opening_plugin.prx".
  • If you do not have on memory stick the files "ms0:/rg/1/opening_plugin.prx", "ms0:/rg/2/opening_plugin.prx", and "ms0:/rg/3/opening_plugin.prx", rGameboot does not write any file and gameboot of before remains to he himself.
Just make sure to view the File's Readme for extra details and installation instructions. becus25 may also be posting more information over at the forums, so make sure to visit the link as well.

Update: For version 0.4 of rGameboot for open edition, homebrew developer becus25 provided a new bundle of the app that contained corrections to all errors that users found in version 0.3.

This time around, becus25 dropped by the forums again to announce that he's come updated his Random Gameboot) rGameboot) to version 0.5. "More speed" is what's listed as the major improvement made to this latest version. The developer says that it "will take only 0,5 seconds in redirecting gameboot!" So try out the newest rGameboot and tell us what you think about the change. Enjoy!

Well, as for teh "ns0:/" insted...im rather sure you need it to be ms0:/. On account thats how its points to WHERE the plugin is, and its at ms0:/ (M~emory S~tick ). i found taht in the readme it says to place the gameboots in "ms0:/psp/system/rg/gameboot.pmf" anyone else see the problem IIII saw? you can only have one file with the same name at a time, so unless you can put multiple filenames this wont work to boot multple ones. hope he just didnt clearify it in the readme and that im just thinking about stuff to much.

 » I think..

I think you do it like this:
ms0:/psp/system/rg/1/gameboot.pmf
ms0:/psp/system/rg/2/gameboot.pmf
ms0:/psp/system/rg/3/gameboot.pmf
etc etc..

 » Instructions for rGameboot

Download rGameboot v0.2 from http://becus25.iespana.es . Then , copy the folder "rg" in the root of your memory stick.Later download rgameboot v0.3 from the Link that there is above.
Then, copy the folder "seplugins" in the root of your memory stick.

You must to unload rGameboot of here, QJ and to copy the content of rar to the root of the Memory Stick. You must place gameboot in psp systemrg
