Yesterday's new custom firmware release rocked the community's boat, and today, it looks that we're in for more rocking. An update for Custom Firmware 3.93 has just hit the Internet waves and with it comes the 1.50 kernel. In case you missed the report yesterday, CFW 3.93 for the PlayStation Portable was released and it packs in-XMB recovery together with a good number of other features. Note that this 1.50 kernel (version 1) is for the PSP Fat and of course, it only works with the custom firmware released yesterday. The readme lists the following changes:
Like yesterday's release, we're not entirely sure who developed the CFW and the kernel, but the release page indicates that bug reports should be directed to Ketchup (theketchupman on our forums). Again, this kernel addon only works for CFW 3.93 (the screenshot says 3.90, we know, but it's a typo). Anyway, we'll wait for more updates regarding this new CFW and kernel so stay tuned. » Not really needed, though...
The most useful 1.50 apps (IMO) can still be run on a Slim with eLoader... namely AlexMae Single Pixel Fixer and PSP-PDA. For everything else there's the 3.xx homebrew!
Sure, games requiring 1.50 still probably won't run through eLoader (like rRootage), but I don't think sacrificing the Korean font and LocationFree Player make it worthwhile.

@billylee8: I think the flash on the Slim is big enough. the Slim has 64Mb flash, the phat only 32Mb. So I think it's not necessary to remove the Location Free Player or the Korean fonts.
BTW: do you really need Korean fonts?!?!

its not a problem of free space
Alex already stated its not possible to make a 1.5 addon for slim in the readme of timemachine:
"Currently, it is only possible to run this 1.50+3.40hw in a TOTALLY fresh booted machine by the user.
Not even a psp cold-reseted by software can run 1.50+3.40hw after having been in 3.xx, due to some problems
related with slim hardware.
There are other implementation problems, but that one is the more critical."
