so, what if your running sonic stage? it doesnt put music in the music folder. then where does the jpeg go?
ummm i dont know about other people who put music on their PSPs...but when i rip "legal" cds' into my psp (fw 2.60) i already have the album art on it....and i could easily remove/add different album covers by changing the settings on the folders
fan bloody tastic! The Loader off the memcard should come in handy too! Fanjita you legend, do it again!!! ;)
overflow.tiff seeks revenge!!!???
i'll look into this.
if it would lead to a exploit then why would they put it in?....
This was in 1.0..
this site sucks
When will people learn not to make posts like "first post, i own all"?
they keep cracking the firmwares... so why not this?
Agreed #9
why are you here then? checking the news.....?!
fanjitaaaaaaaaa u got sum hacking to do lol
"N00b" and "newb" both mean "newbie", which means a newcomer to a particular field.
"N00b" is the "1337" spelling of "newb".
"N00b" is sometimes taken to be offensive, in some cases. :/
Don't you realize Sony wants us to use homebrew. Just think about it .......people that try to hack this in their free time have been able to do it. They have probaly 15 workers working on one small feature and they have been programing for a long time and have jobs don't you think they can outsmart a couple of people that are fooling around with it (no offense to anyone that takes programing very very serously, just in general). This helps keep people interested in the psp why do you think you come back and check this website everyday? Let me answer that HOMEBREW. The only reason they don't make it easy is because they try to avoid piracy and it wouldn't be exciting anymore if sony gave up.
n00b being not knowing the rules, hence the offensive
first of all, you could do this before, so this is no big deal.
so does anybody know if it works?
i really wish that you are right, but i kind of doubt it
fanjitaaaaaaaaa u got sum hacking to do lol
What Does this mena exactly?
corrupted pictures wont show up under music in anyway.
clever sony, real clever.
well the art thing is really gay but the new exploit if found would be awsome! and why would anyone want to upgrade when 2.0+ is at its peak right now?
It means he plays his PSP in the shower. Fanjita couldnt hack a clock to tell time
This feature has been in the PSP at least since 1.5 because all I do is throw a folder.jpg file in with my mp3's and it picks it up.
umm wtf i got 1.50 and can view album art by just dropping my music into music folder,so how the hell is this anything new??????????
wow man this is old old old i have album art on my 2.0 even before i upgraded to 2.0 all my music had album cover this news is noob news lol
this isnt new..qj is just tarded.
who ever was saying all that stuff and acting gay there *****ing stupid because thats like that with my 2.5 so ***** u
Your two dads

We received notification via email (thanks, yoyoboymartin!) of a new feature in Firmware 2.70 that went unmentioned by Sony regarding the MP3
player. Before, in order to assign album art, you had to use a program
like Sonic Stage to embed it within the MP3 file. Now, with the new version out (2.70), you
can simply put the JPEG file in the same folder as the music, creating
the art for the playlist. Very useful when trying to organize your
music, but more importantly... Could this lead to a new exploit? While it would be pretty silly of Sony to make the same mistake twice, all
you hackers out there in forum-land will surely take a look at this and see what you can
do! Meanwhile, we'll keep you posted here at QJ.
