cool
this is great :D
but i want the japanese X/O layout, how do i do that?
I like the Japanese layout as well, oh well. I still don't understand why the buttons needed to change in the first place...
The Japanese X/O button Swap sucks ass! It is confussing! I am sooooo glad it waz fixed!
Thank you for these DevHook Firmwire Installers :-D
Good work good work!!
This does NOT write to flash right?
is there a way to dump on the PC instead to do it
on the PSP? i kinda want to drop and drag instead...
feels better >_
im pretty sure it does write a very smally file to flash as u need this to run these newer devhook firmwares. And yes there is a way to dump the files onto your computer instead of this app. Its called PsarDumper( now im pretty sure)
the dump needs to be done on the psp it's going to be installed on other wise it won't work and no you do not need to install any of it to flash
why are there so many of these installers are you all so that thick that you can't even do a very simple install of devhook by yourselfs?
does it work for the ta-082 users those with the newer motherboards.
This is for PSP running fw 1.50. If you are running 2.71 you can use HEN-D from Dark Alex. You can run a port he made of Devhook.(also available from his website). Both should be available for download from here also, just search for "hen d" and devhook
i see the easy installers as an early christmas present for those who are purchasing two psp's for christmas:
2 psps for: homebrew.
2 psps for:1 for regular use, 1 for homebrew. * something that i wish i could do.
Merry christmas.
Thanks tommydanger!
I just tried to install 3.02, 3.80, 2.82. amd 3.01
It didn't work for any of them
Wat the hell is 3.80?... and you are retarted it works like a charm for all firmwares between 2.8 and 3.2!!!
so will this change my 3.00 to 2.80?

X and O are still JAP for me
^ no
hey uh does this write to flash? i mean i think my friend installed dark alex custom firmware on mine. So does that mean i have recovery mode if i brick it? and if so could u tell me how to go into recovery mode?
to get to recovery mode hold the R button when you turn your psp on and it will bring you to recovery as far as the whole thing about bricking it i have no clue... sorry just dont brick lol
There's a lot of videos on youtube of people using devhook 3.02 on their SE-C psp's I was wondering if this will help me to do that??
good work on this. it works good. i cannot wait for a devhook for 2.8. as it is possible since we have kernal access. i can wait though eloader is good for now. i have 3 psp's. one is 2.8, another is 2.71 and the last is 1.5. i just need one for my 2.8 for my girlfriend :P
I downloaded firmware 2.71ce and it comes with a devhook but when I try running it it just sends me to the main menu and doesnt run the umd or iso for some reason. Anyway if I install this would it automatically isntall to the game150 folder or the 1.5 regular game folder for non ce users? And would I have to delete the previous version or what?
I have 3.0 so this has nothing to do with me does it?
can i use this on 2.71 se-c? or should i just just use the .51 dev that booster put out?
how do i install it
3.02 = says memory stick is full or can't create out file (despite the fact it's smaller than 3.01)
3.01 = gives corrupt settings bluescreen constantly.
2.81 = works fine
trying 3.0 now, but not holding my breath. looks like god is pissing on my parade today :C
ok i just made some folders and i am notsure witch ones helped? well i made ms:DH2f0 and also f1 in that directory, also made ms:f0 and ms:f1. Also no clue if this helped at all ms:OUTF1 ms:OUTF0. (think it was the ones in DH that helped. but 3.02 still isnt working but i am gonna keep trying.
i ment to say i think MS0:DH2F0 and MS0:DH2F1 might of helped
umm... for me it doesn't create the contents of the f1 folder... does it happen to anyone else?
I had the same fault you did with 3.02 but then i looked again and found that i had the older version of Dev hook 0.51. You need version 0.51.100.00, or whatever it is. Click on the link in the description at the top of the page.
Hope that helps? ;)
Do the firmwares u install stay on ur devhook, or do you have to re-install everytime?
nope they stay on Devhook unless you delete them
I'm running 2.71 SE-C. I have all the files installed already and put the 3.02 FW (EBOOT.PBP) into mp_root. I clicked on the "Devhook Firmware Installer" in my game menu and a blue screen came up. (it says to hit X here in the read me) but under Devhook Firmware Installer v0.5b, It says:
Found Update eboot
Update version is 3.02
Press [X] to install firmware
Is this what I'm suppost to do to get DH installed and running, or will doing this update my PSP to 3.02???
NO it wont update your psp. its just telling you that that is the EBOOT that it found in the root.
BTW...Works great on every firmware 2.80 and up ( no so well on 2.71 but oh well)
you need to set the game folder to 1.50 kernel from the recovery menu. by default it is 2.71 kernel and the firmware installer will not work.
This one didn't corrupt my stick, like the one released yesterday did, but it doesn't work none the less. Does the exact same thing and says
Extracting PSAR......!
Done!
Failed to create report file
Stick may be full or can't create OUT folder.
Followed by a lockup.
I thought this was supposed to be easy installer, guess I'm just gonna have to do it the old fashioned way.
I love these installers on the psp! It is awesome! Very easy, and no need for any tutorial. Just place them in ur psp, launch, and then you are good to go.
I prefer this over installing any apps on my pc as well.
Thank you all who have worked hard on the devhook, and devhook installer!

what do i have to do to make it work
i am trying to install 2.82
what the ***** does this thing do?
It **** up you PSP you PIRATE SCUM!
THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CALL PSPUPDATES1.5 LOL
Wonder why sony still have this page link from pspconnect.
They support homebrew!
@ HJ, thanks, that seemed to give it the kick in the balls it needed
OK, I have an original 1.5 PSP (bought it first day it came out). I was using an older devhook. I deleted the old "dh" folder in the root of the memory stick and the old devhook in the game folder first. I dont know if that makes a difference or not but I wanted to start fresh. I followed the directions exactly as the article describes using the 3.01 US update. Dont forget to rename the update EBOOT.PBP when you put it in the root of your memory stick. THIS WORKED GREAT FOR ME!!! I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. The first game I tried was Thrillville which requires 2.81 firmware if I remember correctly. I could not get this game to work previously with my older version of devhook so when it booted up with no problem after the install I was very very happy to say the least. One thing I would like to see changed in a future version is the problem of being able to launch using 333mhz. I left it on default after I realized this problem still has not been fixed. Remember for those of you who do not know it can be changed to 333 before you launch the game by hitting the home button and going up to CPU clock and changing it. Again I can not sing enough praises about how easy this install was. Thank You guys so much for the great programs.
