dont understand why the US release has been held back so long given that the game has been released elsewhere... i didnt feel the original release needed to be tweaked for better controls or gameplay, and i dont think the timing of the release has been planned for, or would help, make americans care more about free running than they allready do...

Quite easy. Americans are not open to ideas that haven't been done to death before. Anything concept that falls outside the mainstream, horde mentality that Americans cling to aren't exactly successful sellers.
