We know you've seen the trailer for Collision Studios' 300: March to Glory, met the characters, and probably even checked out the game's official website already. But just in case you weren't able to catch all that, we thought you might wanna see this hack and slash gameplay vid to put you up to speed.

As you know, one of the gameplay elements that Collision really stood their ground on is the extreme violence. Extreme as in 728 decapitations all in all, or maybe even more. Hence, the age requirement thingy for the vid above. Underaged teeners, don't get your hopes up, you won't find any porn in there, just your plain old bloody, gory, hacking and slashing. Oh, and watch out for flying heads.

 » hmm..

the gameplay doesnt look all that great... Sort of slow and the arrows look odd. And how does a downward stabbing motion decapitate people?

 » dunno about this

all i have to say is that i hope this isnt the final product .. cuz the graphics look crappy.... the backgrounds are not even detailed and the character models look rather unpolished... reminds me of those flash games u can play for free on the 'net

One of the most primitive graphics ever seen on the PSP.
If this is going to be the final version of the game, it could go down as one of the worst looking games ever made. If this game manages to sell at least one copy it will be a miracle.

Looks repeatitive and boring.

 » Typical

So it's OK to show hack and slash gore (which somehow magically evaporates) but you can't accurately portray the Spartans? They fought nude. Check out the original Frank Miller graphic novel - lots of dangly bits all over the place. (And yes, it's historically accurate.) Typical American "morality".

I think you're all being extremely over critical.

Is this superb or revolutionary? Hell no!
But it doesn't look half as bad as most of you make is sound.

That being said, I doubt I would buy it, even used, it's not good enough to buy, but it's not the worst thing I've ever seen either!

 » Thats Right

Its like the enemy AI is a bunch of zombies. They just walk up and wait for you to kill them. I dont think I saw one enemy swing thier sword. The arrows coming down look like spears falling from the sky. All I know is the previews I seen for this movie look great but this game looks like total crap.

 » This game suck

why do they allways have to make the persians look like arabs?
THEY ARE NOT ARABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALso
The history books also show that only a few of those spartans faught, the other percentage were all peasents, this game shows it the other way around

 » Kind of Stupid

It's kind of stupid for everyone to be judging the game from some screenshots and a crappy video. Personally, I'm not going to say a thing about the game until and unless I get a chance to actually pop one in my PSP. It's kind of stupid to say something is good or bad when you haven't even seen it. It's also stupid to imagine Sony, Warner Brothers or Crave is going to permit "dangly bits" in a video game, or even bare breasts. I don't think any of them want to get sued, and the whole "Hot Coffee" incident has the videogame industry avoiding any risks, however remote they might be.

 » Got it, Played it

Well, I got it, and played it, so now I can talk about it. To be honest, I was pretty impressed with a lot of it. The cutscenes kick some serious ass. The voice-overs are wicked -- there's a voice for every person, not just pop-up text. Plus the combat is great -- you can use swords, spears, even your shield, and you really NEED to learn to use all of them. Really I think it's some of the best combat I've seen on the PSP, especially the finishing moves. There are a LOT of enemies to kill, but I guess that's historically accurate! The whole "Wrath" special power set (Blood Drunk, etc) really helps take down those ultra-nasty bosses, and properly upgrading your weapons makes a huge difference. The enemies are often pretty tough, especially when you're trying to make your way up to some pesky archers who are shooting at you from a height!!! (arrgh, kill them all!) But, all in all, if you like fighting games, I think that this game was pretty good, and I'd give it an 7.8 out of 10, ranking-wise. I'm really looking forward to seeing the movie!
