High Voltage Software and Vivendi Games have released 50 Cent: Bulletproof G Unit Edition in Europe on October 27, 2006. The game was released in the US on September 12, and the Australian release followed soon after on September 30. The recommended selling price is US$ 39.99.In the game, you follow 50 Cent through his adventures in a New York drug underworld story where he has to hunt down the hitmen who tried to get him. The game got an M (Mature 17+) rating from the ESRB, adding to controversy about claims that the game has educational values: 50 Cent said the game teaches kids about the violence of gang life in order to avoid it. This game is a "reworking" of 50 Cent: Bulletproof for the Xbox and PS2. What's the main difference? The PSP version has a top-down perspective. For fans of the music, 50 Cent: Bulletproof G Unit Edition features music videos and new original music from 50 Cent and Sha Money XL. |

Here is a 03:52-minute video for the PSP version of 50 Cent: Bulletproof that basically gives info on how the game works. What's new about this game is that it is now played on an isometric over head perspective view instead of the third-person over the shoulder perspective that gives player a wider perspective of the surroundings. The story remains the same though, revolving around 50 Cent's search of vengeance, spilling blood all over the hood in every conceivable way. |

The PS2 and Xbox version of 50 Cent: Bulletproof didn't fare so well. Sure, the game raked in a couple of sales from fans of the rapper but they bought it mostly for the soundtrack and the exclusive 50 Cent and G-Unit videos. Now that Vivendi Games and High Voltage Software has decided to take Bulletproof into PSP, can we expect a better 50 Cent game? Yes...well, at least that's what producer Aaron Blean claims. Shifting from an action shooter to an old school hack 'n' slash game, PSP's 50 Cent: Bulletproof G-Unit Edition will bring gamers a different experience tailored to the handheld.
The PSP version of Bulletproof shares the same admirable cinematic camera shots and the same urban warfare storyline as the PS2 and Xbox game. 50 is still seeking to take revenge on his enemies and is tracking down the most powerful and dangerous syndicates in the city. He still employs the help of his G-Unit soldiers Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Tony Yayo. However, there are a few features that are exclusive for the PSP like the 36 new counter-kills, the integration of human shields and interrogations into the 50 Cent game genre, and the exclusive feature length documentary filmed by 50 and his soldiers. Maximizing the multiplayer features of the PSP, this game will allow players to take control not only of 50 Cent but also of Banks, Buck, Yayo, Eminem (who plays Detective McVicar), and Dr. Dre (also making an appearance as Grizz). The game also serves as a G-Unit Clothing catalogue as it features authentic past, present, and upcoming gears from 50's clothing line. With heavy involvement from 50 himself, 50 Cent: Bulletproof G-Unit Edition will be the "ultimate fusion of videos, music and game play ever assembled for a portable system", says Blean. He also claims that this is a must-have for 50 Cents fans and non-fans alike, which will release later this year. Although it's still up to you if you're going to take his word for it. ![]() ![]() |

Just a day after dropping "Universal" from its name, Vivendi Games is back in the headlines as it reveals its E3 games lineup. Vivendi is prepping up the debut of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon at next month's big trade show. While Crash Bandicoot will be exclusive to Nintendo DS, Spyro will breath fire on the Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, DS, and Game Boy Advance. Sorry folks, no PS3 and Revolution for now.The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning is a recap of the purple dragon's origin story. It will include flying levels as well as stronger focus on combat. Krome Studios will develop the game for the console and GBA versions, while the DS edition will be handled by Amaze Entertainment. Bandicoot will debut on the DS with Crash Boom Bang! It features 40 mini games, wireless multiplayer, and a communication system that allows players conspire against each other midgame. This is Bandicoot's entry to the party-game genre. Players will also be able to bet on the outcome of the matches, earning points that can be traded in for 80 different game-altering items. But wait, the Vivendi lineup doesn't stop there. Other games that will be feted at the Vivendi booth are as follows:

In 50 Cent: Bulletproof, famous rapper 50 cent gets caught up in the life of a gang banger filled with corruption, betrayals, and shady deals that lead him deep into the heart of New York's drug scene. With the support of his G Unit crew, 50 needs to uncover an international conspiracy by exposing the most dangerous crime families in the city. Bulletproof features a soundtrack with songs exclusively written for the game from a variety of artists like Sha Money XL. An in-game studio will allow gamers to create their own original freestyles with beats strength from the G Unit camp. Although this title wasn't too much of a success on previous consoles, hopefully the PSP version will be a step up from its predecessors.
