For those who are about to enter the wonderful world of coding PSP homebrew, coder a_noob  has just released a new programming language engine known as A_Engine_lua. Take note that this is not a modification of Lua Player.

According to the developer, the main purpose of this application is to allow new programmers to code a game without the worries of handling graphics. Currently, A_Engine_lua supports the following:

  • A_Engine Currently only supports simple 2D functions.
  • Image loading (TGA, RAW, PCX*) *pending
  • Image rendering (full image scalled)
  • 2D vector obj builder
  • 2D vector renderer (full, outline, rotated)
  • simple BB collisions
  • TTF font support
To help you get started, a_noob also added three demos done in this engine which include a menu, a game of Pong, and a bouncy ball which demonstrates the physics capabilities of this program.

If you are interested to try A_Engine_lua out, be sure the Readme.txt file included in the archive to know the vital details and avoid unnecessary problems during usage.

Hi,
As being the developer of A_Engine I do not like the disrespect you are Giving me FreePlay. This is most definitely not part of the lua player in any way shape or form. I Did not use any soruce code from the lua player to get this application up and running. If you Do not believe me then you may ask one of my good friends, Such as Flatmush, or Xfacter. If that does not satisfy you I may give you a link to my svn to show you that it is not the luaplayer at all.
I have been working very hard on this, and it is people like you that discourage developers from making more an better things. I do not plan for you to distract me from my goal of completing my game Engine. And whereever you got the Idea that it is a modification of the lua player I will never know. because if you cared to actually download it. And actually look at the lua scripts before making such bold statements it would be quite obvious that i did not use the lua player. Also if I did use the lua player, wouldnt it support all of the features that the lua player does? Well it doesnt, yet .... Please feel free to contact me.
