AIBO lives as Sony AIBO PS and fully compatible with PS3, PSP? - Image 1Stuff Magazine is currently running a rumor stating that the much-loved Artificial Intelligence roBOt or AIBO is being resurrected by Sony and is making it compatible with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.

The rumored new version of AIBO, furthermore, will be called Sony AIBO PS and will come with its own avatar in PlayStation Home.

It was also mentioned that the domesticated robot dog will interact in the virtual environment much like it used to do in the real world.

Stuff Magazine also added that new personalities for AIBO will become downloadable at the PlayStation Network and that it is fully controllable with the PSP via WiFi. The D pad buttons will take control of movements while the dog's head (which is actually a camera) is able to send a real world vid feed to the PSP's screen.

As much as this is a really cool concept, take note that even Stuff Magazine is only giving this a 53% probability of becoming real. Until Sony issues an official statement regarding the matter, we'll have to put this one in the rumor category.

It would make for a cool item on HOME. Think of the cool things if they programed it like the real life one.
