No doubt that word on Datel's uh-mazing "hack" on the PSP 3000 with their for-sale battery has quickly spread like wildfire across the internet. But amidst the trepidation and controlled excitement, most of us eagerly await what guys in the know say about this. We've got a statement right here, from Alek of the Dark_AleX forums, and he's obviously not gonna go into a mad rush to buy one of those things. Here's why: You might have seen a new Battery that has come into the market, as always with a price and with a good advertising program... Well, this post is just to answer some mails that i've recieved. 1. To have a LED indicator ON, doesn't means that you can install cfw or hack anything. Remember 088v3 mobos? Right. 2. It's spreading like a timebomb that it can be hacked and so on. Well, what any user can see is an interesting campaign to promote an article that is not yet released. It would be interesting to see.. how about an old "hello world" like on Noobz time, instead of a "buy today" call? 3. Just to remember all this things up, LED indicator ON and nothing on screen means directly what Dark_AleX explained here about the preIPL. Would be an interesting step, indeed, in case that the protection on 3k would be sort of a signal encryption or a change of protocol instead of just a change of the battery pin communication system; so, until more proofs come into play, i would not definetly go in a rush to buy it xD. We'll be keeping you posted on more updates on this one as they come rolling in. In the meantime, hold your horses and keep it locked here in QJ. "- until more proofs come into play, i would not definetly go in a rush to buy it xD. -"
Exactly...
means absolutely nothing when modding a PSP. I've heard of slims not showing anything on the screen when an mms + pandora battery was inserted, yet they were hacked anyway because all you had to do was press X once or twice.
pandora is pretty instant
you should have to push anything unless you have time machine installed
that was a compatibility problem that DC originally had with the slim LCD... that has nothing to do with this. And to Aces In The Palm, have you ever even installed CFW? its not atuomatic, you do press a button to install...
to kick despertar in
"I've heard of slims not showing anything on the screen when an mms + pandora battery was inserted"
every single PSP ive used pandora on has the despertar del cementerio text appear almost instantly
Cmon, seriously DAX? Does anyone here honestly believe he doesn't have the money to buy ONE battery and effing try it? That's so ridiculous! and yes, you are correct m3rox, I had modified my friends silver slim jak+daxter pack and nothing came up on screen. But wtf, does like, none of the effing coders out there even make an attempt to go about testing new equipment the RIGHT way? Someone with the know-how just buy a battery and test it out already!!!
the batteries aint being sold yet dumbass so how the hell can DAX or anybody test it. Read the articles next time, PLEASE.
For stealing bastards even the 20 bucks are too much....
why don't YOU buy a battery and send one to him?
Whatever
i agree with what blinx says.also its not dax speaking but alek of dark alexs forums.alek is the webmaster, dark alex or dax is the actual coder.they are not the same people
PSP - 3000 what's new?
Crap is what is new! lol :D
I mean it would be nice for new beginers that never happen to know that PSP exist and now they want one, too bad it cant be hacked, PSP 1000 are like obsolete, you can find one in ebay if u r lucky, PSP 2000 is like out of Stores but here in my country they still selling those. Still PSP 3000 here is in some stores too...
So be fnc.k.i.g patience, if u canot just have a psp phat or slim.
Thanks ;d
PSPMAN90
I'll stick with my slim. i dont see the point of buying a 3k in the first place...so what the home button is the ps logo and there's a mic...and oh yeah a brighter screen...big deal. i like to use my headset anyway cause i can hear the game better and anyone talking clearer as for say playing socom ftb2.
I agree that its not worth an upgrade, but you can still use a headset with the 3000 or even just normal earbuds along with the built in mic... so your comment makes no sense.
why should D.A. buy one just to try it considering how many times datel has blatantly stolen the hard work of the people like him and mass marketed it?
Alek is not Dark_AleX for all u retards out there ;)
OOPS lol my bad. For some reason i thought it said ALEX. >.
Whatever
my bad....didnt know you can attach the headset to the 3k and still talk through the mic.you didnt have to get all butt hurt about it.
i think the scepticism is a bit childish from Alek,
wait till it comes out, with its true its true, but lashing out like that seems as if your throwing a childish tantrum, just because the *****s of Datel might have made some progress
i agree it could be a advertising campaign rumour,
but no need to lash out till we find out
That hardly looked like a lashout. The indicators of success that Datel told MC deserved to be scrutinized, especially when those particular indicators do not automatically guarantee hackability.
Keep in mind that the news release of the Datel battery probably sparked a small rush to buy 3000s on the cheap. Having a second opinion is crucial at this period of time for the ebay eager. Waiting until it comes out isn't an option under those circumstances.
yeaaa i think they should make a video proof. Otherwise its pretty hard to believe.
As soon as there is actually solid proof that this works, I'll get one, but until then, I don't believe it actually works...
I hate when noobs read these articles and start talking $#!+ about the dev's. They probably dont know what c/c++ even is and if they do i bet they cant code a hello world to run on the psp. How dare they say that the best known psp hacker doesn't know what hes doing.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT DO NOT REPLY. YOU JUST SUCCEED IN MAKING YOURSELF LOOK IGNORANT. (oh, using words like "nerd" or phrases like "get a life" or "im not a noob" only prove my point)
