yes its 100% sure that eiffel56 is a "she"!
incredible that a woman can do s.th. like this??
Gender has nothing to do with it.
(sarcasm) yeah i guess women just werent born with the superior knowledge of coding like us men (/sarcasm) ^^
I remember only 40 years ago, women couldn't do anything. Its still a fact, most women stay home and housewife.
Gender does have to do with it, if it didn't then there wouldn't be women fitness clubs or women/male change/washrooms. Gender does matter and the males are superior.
im with u vincent... i hate when women drive...
anyways is it worth upgrading to this fw?
Yes, we may be able to bend over the back of a chair easier or run faster and lift heavier things, but in the world of programming you may be wrong. Some studies suggest that we think differently, but it obviously doesn't effect her outdoing all of you guys who have replied in programming here.
well, yeah sometimes girls are dumb and everything, but we sure cant live with out them
So this is why we have female prostitutes, but not male ones?
Selling one's body for sex is a sign of inherit stupidity.
There are plenty of male prostitutes. Your really only insulting yourself. What is this widespread notion that girls are dumber? Girls kill men in most academic areas other then math on the average. What is all this bull? 40 years ago? as in 1967? Women gained suffrage (the right to vote) in 1920. They have had all of the same rights since then. You "men" aren't too bright here. Grow up.
fúck off, dont be such a sheuvanist
IS THIS BETTER THAN 3.0+ OE ?????????????????
it depends whether you like the 1.5 psp, 3.xx oe has more official features so i personally choose it.
hell *****ing no, its nowhere as good as 3.03 OE
Cmon, *****ING PS1 GAMES BABY

Captain Pollution and Captain Planet rape your 4$$ and you like it u f4gg0t. Then Cartman kicks you on the nuts and kills you for being a douche.
HEART!
This made me laugh.
Take your planeteers and hit the road.
I can't believe they're airing re-runs of that crap.
Anyways, I think that the majority of people that are still on 1.5, are there because they're afraid to flash, so even though this is a great development, I don't see a whole lot of people using it.
and sorry to say the developer of this should of just quit cuz this is nothing compared to 3.03OE-C
im on 303oeb but i think 1.50 is still the original golden firmware, this is where it all started even though the first firmware to get hacked was 1.00.....1.50 is where everything began and developed for over a year, the only thing that made me go custom was the ability to launch all my media from the psp xmb, worth the risk of flashing my psp.
..............psp rules...............
but now there is better firmwares that blow 1.5 out of the water
ppl sometime just forget their root... sad
"GO!! PLANET!!"
What do you think the changelog means when it says "NEVER TURN OFF BACKLIGHT IN XMB" what do you think could go wrong,?
As for what could go wrong, try to imagine the worst image burnin you've ever seen of the psp loading pmf. Now try to imagine the possible uses. Movies? not quite as nice without the better avc format support and 480 x 272 in the xmb is it? What about visualizations? dude, you don't have those. Lets just pretend that half those isos you have will work without the newer kernels and that you have the gall to actually convert ciso format to dax for use with this instead of devhook (which is what your sure to be using a lot with this).
Nah, its like seeing a work of art made to recognize the days of yore. 1.50 is a beautiful thing. I truly believe that has been effectively replaced though without a doubt in my mind. I think Snarg nails it when he says that anyone who hasn't changed is more afraid to flash then they are loyal to the pure 1.50. I do think that it is a cool accomplishment though and that it may lead to an interesting development in other areas for the future.
Nothing! :P It's just an option... not a warning!
Great to see 1.5 homebrew with some life in it still. While I prefer 3.xxOE cfw, may I remind the doubters that 1.53 has the following advantages over the OE cfw:
- A lot more customizable: the 1.50 has been completely hacked.
- More room left in flash still: a hell of a lot more homebrew features/plugins can still be added to it.
So, it's up to you to choose what matters to you the most: a more feature-rich cfw, or one that is dedicated to homebrew and more easily customizable.
Thank you for sharing your work with us, eiffel56. :)
Sorry, but I'll keep my web browser, RSS feeds, extra video codecs, and PS1 emulator.
But don't forget the UMD's!
the custom firmwares almost as good as 1.5 and it has hella better features
Wauw that's actually cool! Gonna emulate it to 1.53 some day..
And WTF? The wind fire thang? Are you people dumb?
You're calling others idiot after you said "thang"?
You morons realize that you screwed up by doing water before wind right?
im off to buy a used psp later today to have in my shop, gr8 how the taxman lets me buy psps n ***** for worktime fun init ;-)
will have a go at this later on for defiante, any reports on what its like?
i'm sorry, but i'll stick with my 3.10OE.
c'mon 1.5 hold outs - don't fear the change. you lose NOTHING in 3.10OE. You only stand to gain a whole new world of fun.
It's an LCD screen, which is just pixels that are colored different colors. It isn't affected by leaving the same image on the screen, like laptops or flat panel monitors, or LCD HDTV's.
It's nice that some devs still make cool things even though there's more mainstream custom firmwares. Good for her. I'm sure someone will find this useful :)
I've definitely had the "PSP" from the gameboot screen burned onto the screen, although only temporarily. It's probably a different kind of screen-burn though.
Are you sure it was a burn? If you put the psp in it's case and then in your pocket the psp logo from the case will appear on your screen(pocket lint?)... just wipe it off.
Its happened to me too. It definately happens at the highest light setting. Something like Pimpstreamers purple background can really show it. And yes, a liquid color display is a liquid color display, NOT just pixels. It uses liquids that can get stuck and burn in all the same. A pixel is just one area in which the light shins through.
Meh, I'll stick with 3.10 OE-A'
MANY more features :P
How in the world did they drag up that old post, lol
Wow, 2005 dont i feel old
homebrew OWNS sony for sure
» Are you sure?
I've definitely had the "PSP" from the gameboot screen burned onto the screen, although only temporarily. It's probably a different kind of screen-burn though.
yes this is normal, happens to me loads. Its not burn in though, because it goes away.
I always thought that it burnt into my eyes...
Its different, but it is still annoying.
... seeing how the old "custom firmware" from this dev didn't work at all.
I don't regret giving up 1.50, but I can't deny how awesome this is. No way I'm giving up the ps1 emulator for this.
The Captain Planet bit was priceless, couldn't help but to laugh (people staring at me n all.) I just hope it don't become contagious like the Chuck Norris fad...thank god that's over.
...Can hack a PSP just by threatening to drop-kick its BIOS!
Well thats cool... I hope Dark Alex adds support for dax files in the next release of his custom firmware. I get better compression and better playback speeds from dax than I do from cso, most of the time... or is that just me?
Captain Planet he's our hero...
Go Planet!
The coder, eiffel56, is a woman not a man...
This was my idea. I posted the idea in two forums -
http://www.projectpsp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14577
and
http://lan.sh/showthread.php?t=677
- which she is a member of.
Check it out and see for yourself, this was my idea, all I want is some credit for it.
_-_
...yeah, I had the idea to create a 3.03 Downgrader...oh no noobz.eu stole it, because they do it and I not *sarcasm* -.-
hey, she did it for you. Not like its patented and being sold. Its for the community. I'm sorry, but non creative IDEAS don't build any cred.
Don't be like Sketch, and try to be a glory hog for just coming up with an idea, when someone else did all the work.
You want some credit for it? Then make it yourself next time.
You suck, attention whore.
If you aint even gonna look, don't bother replying.
why don't you make a custom fimeware 3.12
Isn't it a bit obvious that a particular someone else will probably do that first?
I am a man. I am an anchorman!
You are a loser. You are a g@y loser!
