PSPThe good thing about Cpasjuste's updated Dark_Alex SE-B Overclocking Module is that it gives users options. Accordingly, PSP's can be clocked to 333Mhz, 300Mhz or 111Mhz depending on one's preference. Speaking of which, we guess everything boils down to preference, right? Whatever floats your boat man. It is in this light that developer MiG created a somewhat similar module of his own.

MiG, in our forum, admits he prefers the Devhook VSH style of changing the clock speed. Thinking a number of people would like the same as well, the U.K.-based homebrewer came up then with this release. Instead of the three speed option, this module allows users to change between 222mhz and 333mhz, simply by pressing the "select" button in the VSH. Also, the clock speed is indicated on the top left corner much like in Devhook.

Regarding installation, MiG sends out his appreciation to Cpasjuste as he patterned it from the OC module. To install this mod, just copy the folder to the GAME/GAME150 folder, then run it from the game menu. Press circle once prompted. In case you give this one a try, kindly give your feedbacks as MiG plans to further improve his 2.71 SE-B VSH Overclocking module.

This module works perfectly, gotta squint for that one frame that it shows the speed in but it's pretty seamless.

Keep it up!! =D

» How much of a risk?

How much of a chance do you run bricking or burning out your PSP by overclocking it? I've only done it once using Devhook.

 » dont worry

theres no chance you will damage the psp as long as you dont overclock it over 333 mhz (maybe only heating a little up, but that wont damage it)

the VSH refers to the XMB right?

Now I can overclock it up to 333 on those game ISOs that slow down some. Hope that helps it.

 » MINE DOESNT WORK =(

For some reason no oc mod works for me :( always crashes my psp.

This one wouldn't let me turn it back on or even to recover. Incase anyone had my problem.

Go into recovery mode
Turn on usb
Copy the OC MOD folder into the GAME folder
Rename it to Recovery
Run recovery and it will load the installer so that you can uninstall the mod without having to do a full recovery.

Seems like it works for everyone else though, but incase it helps anyone!
