Metal gear Theme Pack ImageSolid Snake

If you're a true Metal Gear fan, what should you do to fully realize your admiration to Solid Snake and his crew? Should you wear a headband and an eyepatch too? Wield a samurai and have your body altered to be a cyborg like Raiden? Or maybe you should consider smoking ala Solid? Nope, you just have to download Grunty Thirst's self-designed Metal Gear Theme Pack and install it to your PSPs.

A self-confessed Metal Gear fanatic, Grunty Thirst came up with this theme pack to profess his rabid addiction to the MGS lore. One thing though, he warns interested users that "this download contains the theme pack ONLY. The user must already be accustomed with ThemePSP and where to put the files."

Sodr's ThemePSP 1.1 homebrew is already included in the link below, but if you want more information about it, just click here. Remember, before installing this in your PSP, make sure you know exactly what you're doing. We'll repeat the same warning we provided in the ThemePSP v1.1 release: Please be aware of the fact that misuse of the flash could brick your PSP.

Like what Solid Snake said in the E3 demo of upcoming PS3 title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, "War has changed...". Maybe it's time we polish our PSPs to match those changes, or maybe you should try it just for the "cool" factor of having Raiden, Otacon, Meryl Silverburgh, Liquid Ocelot, and of course Solid Snake flashing in your PSPs.

CAn you put this into the DH map? So when you start the 2.5 FW with devhook.. you'll see this theme?.. But the 1.5 stays like the original 1.5...

 » Hey Bobby

I'm sorry for what happened but we never lack in warning readers about using flash-based apps. If you've read the post entirely, there's a part that says:
"Remember, before installing this in your PSP, make sure you know exactly what you're doing. We'll repeat the same warning we provided in the ThemePSP v1.1 release: Please be aware of the fact that misuse of the flash could brick your PSP."

Again, we're sorry, but I don't think you can blame us.

okay if you try to flash while using devhook, you are probably looking at a brick. I'm pretty sure that you CAN'T flash ur psp while using devhook. I think any of the Dev's here would tell you that. OI Bobby, you need to be careful. If this is the second time you've bricked a psp by flashing it, well I would have learned my lesson by now. Don't do it, unless you totally have it right. I've flashed my current psp many times(+100) and never had a problem. My original psp(got a new one 'cause teh screen broke), well that one I flashed an incredible 1235 times without fail.(upgrading/downgrading/bootsounds)

(Is that a record? 1235 times flashed without fail?)

 » i love this crap!

the only thing i dont like about this skin is the gameboot. the system boot effect is PERFECT! i love it. i switched the gameboot with the blood splatter one from prince of persia. does anybody know where you can get more of these skins? somebody should make a forum thingy or whatever.

 » nice, gthirst

nice to know the bootsound turned out okay. i use this thing when i'm on 2.5 using devhook.

#2--to use this stuff with devhook, the gameboot and bootsound (opening_plugin.rco) go here
dh/250/flash0/vsh/resource

if you want to set monthly backgrounds, just copy over the .bmp pics into that folder

it's good to know people like this
