DJ Max Fever - Image 1

Bummed about the DJ Max Fever delay? Don't worry, Pentavision and PM Studios have a good reason for it: they're adding in some stuff from DJ Max Portable Emotional Sense - Black Square.

Speaking to The Escapist, Michael Yum of PM Studios revealed that one of Black Square's new features -  a green note that lets players change the background song - is being added to Fever:

It features a new, green note that allows players to control the background music. So not only can you play the beats, but you can change the background music as well.

It also features a new freestyle mode where you can push any button to match the beat, but it gets harder as you go along because you have to play with a lot of different combinations or your points will go down.

Yum also offered an interesting take on the difficulties they faced trying to get retailers to stock up on DJ Max Fever, saying that retailers are still riding the DS boom and aren't giving anybody else a chance.

It's all good now though, as Yum said that they've convinced major retailers to commit to DJ Max Fever. Sony has also offered support for the game, so we may be seeing a lot more of DJ Max Fever soon.
