Browsr: a multimedia app for your PSP - Image 1

Homebrew developer Yongobongo has released browsr, a comprehensive multimedia application for the PSP. The software allows users to play MP3s, view images in JPG and PNG formats, change the wallpaper, and more.

The homebrew has multiple features aside from those mentioned such as granting the user access to the Configuration Panel, support for themes, a Lua Script Launcher, and USB Mode. While the program already looks polished as it is, the developer has given word that this is still a work in progress.

So go download this application and try it out to see if you like it. Just be sure to go over the documentation included to prevent any problems with installation and use of the program.

this looks pretty cool, also, it adds ten awsome points for me to see linkin park songs on it

Pfft. That's enough to convince me not to use it.

learn about real music, linkin park sucks

I'd be interested to know what you consider real music.

Also- this looks really sweet, I've been thinking about using my PSP for a music player but built in one is a pain when it comes to having a big library

 » indie music

music made by people not technicans and executives, no matter what niche their playing to. No matter what genre you like, theres independent music waiting for you, and you can give your money to commission art, not feed trends and consumer research.

Cool that someone makes something that is useful to the PSP, now just keep improving this!!! Maybe do a shell like iRShell but better, since I don't really like iRShell.

» How can u not like iRShell?

well, i guess the layout of iRShell does have room for improvement (the psp looks messy and cluttered when irShell is on...), but the functionality is superb...

yongobong...
I loved Babblr, and this looks just as good!! Are you planning on adding AIM?
   by JaXeRiR - 2007-10-06
 » I agree, stingray_shrey

Like, iRShell is ok by it's features, but one thing I don't get in it is, why so many people use it. It has almost all the same features as the PSP XMB and it lacks cool graphic userface.

The XMB on the other hand... What could be sexier? (Retional question please don't answer...)

Just make iRShell have NEW features and a cool userface, and I'm gonna use it.

 » multitasking

1. multitask and listen to music while playing isos
2. rearrange files on ur psp mem-stick
3. drive the neighbor insane by changing their TV channel w/. wifi

   Re: seargent007 - 2007-10-06
 » wifi tv?

funny, i dont recall TVs having remote control via wi-fi....oh thats right, its called INFRA-RED, or else all our TVs would be internet explorers too.

 » update...

this has been out for a while now. its the same maker too i think... this looks better then it did before around the same time last year

   by JaXeRiR - 2007-10-07
 » Well, yeah, but...

a) You can multitask also with XMB and using certain plugins, music.prx for example for playing music anywhere, be it umds, isos, homebrew, xmb, anything

b) You can rearrange your files also with multiple homebrew apps, like FileAssistant

c) You can drive your neighbours, parents, friends anyone insane by changing their channels with an application called PSP Universal Remote

Oh, I liked your reasons, but hey gimme some more!
