awsome
Wont sony like shutdown his update server?
finally its going 2 b released.all dat w8 is gonna b worth it cuz its gonna b bad ass than evr
Torch- That depends. The update feature could be patching..or it could be an entire installation (like the official ones). If it was a patch, it would be the same as it is now, but if it was the full blown thing..
Well, something tells me nothing would happen anway. But you never know.
How the hell are Sony going to shut down a server owned by DA? Think...
You make so many children happy
Keep up the good work
RickLames, please speak English, not broken techno English. It hurts my brain to try and decipher it.! On a more positive note: ALL HALE THE KING, KING DARK_ALEX!!
>> "How the hell are Sony going to shut down a server owned by DA? Think..."
The same way thousands of companies have shut down servers hosting keygens and serial numbers: Send threatening letters to the ISP (DA's is Dedibox in France) letting them know that they have the bigger lawyers than the ISP.
Think...
sssssssssssswwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeettttttt can't wait
sssssssssssswwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeetttttt can't wait
yessss.
YOU ROCK DAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Edited by Rio S. (Q.J. NET Staff) , because:
Keep off the flamebait please. :D
DAX does it again, keep up the good work, if it weren't for you the psp would suck
Sony has all these features they just dont want you to get hold of and DAX and all homebrew developers step up and return them to you.
that is awesome
i might actually update my junk finally
i have been to lazy to get into it
i still have 3.40 oe
...I stuck with 3.40 OE till cfw 3.71 but eventually
you find a need to upgrade like recent games for
example, they require higher fw versions.
Yea so about a week ago i experienced a brick, not to happy about that. so then i contacted all my friends with custom firmware psp's and none would help me make a Jigkick battery so im was stuck buying 1 on Ebay. funny part is its supposed to arrive 2 morow same day as this expected release im nearly crappen my shorts i cant wait i might even skip classes 2 morow jjust to wait for the USPS truck to come
and this via internet updater is defiantly a good add on no hassle having to download installers and Eboots. not to mention its sounds to be noob friendly no offense to them.
Hope my pandora battery is well worth it!!!
i had to do the pandora thing and i had a few extra batteries so i never restored it. so now i have this extra pandora battery in case my friends or i needed it. too bad you're not my friend haha.
@GT4130bmx:
dude..... what do you have for friends if they don't let you make a jigstick battery????
I mean, it's nothing that could destroy, brick or damage anything.....
I would think what you friends you have there....
I Seem Kinda Iffy About It For No Apparent Reason
One Question
Is It Illegal to alter a sony Firmware update???
i really havent taken the time to read the lil disclosure thing when u update
It is NOT an auto update.
It's an updater that uses Network Update.
I think he meant auto-update in the sense that you don't have to download anything separately, you just directly update via Wi-Fi. But I added the Network Update thing just to be clear. :)
He is truly a god in the hacking community.
sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111
cant wait.. not sleepin till i get that upate lol thats bad xD
Thank you Dark Alex, been waiting for this. XD
hello i have recenty made a universal pandora so i installed 3.71m33 when this come out tomorow do i ahve to do anything special or i just put the folder and update..........................
i also whanted to know is there any version of snes nes emulator that work with slims psp......................and if yes wich folder do i put the eboot in Game 1.5 or 3.80..................and last question is there a program to take a original ps1 game and make and iso and then i eboot for psp ty all great work
1) No, just follow the instruction in the readme, I can't remember where you put the eboot for the update right now, sorry
2) I believe you can, here's the file..it might not work but I'm not sure.
dl.qj.net/Snes9xTYL-0.4.2-ME-for-PSP-Slim-PSP-Emulators/pg/12/fid/14889/catid/135
Just follow the readme and it should work..
3) For PS1 - eboot, you'll need popstation and clonecd. Here's a tutorial on youtube..

There is not, and never will be, 1.5 firmware on a slim. Why would you put ANYTHING in a game150 folder?
we've been waiting for this one and its finally here!!!
Cant wait to see this Network Update going on.
Radio internet here I come.
Dude... PSP radio has been out for a long ass time..
Incredible. Can't wait until it comes out, I want to see what this updater is like.
In before influx of people asking whether this can be installed on official firmware.
nice....but does it come with a kernel 1.5 for fat psp? well i hope so.
freeplay be a good one to ask as he regularly talks to both DAX and mathieulh and is always in the know.
i thought the NIDs thing meant no or next to no modifications needed for porting plug ins and such
actually not sure if the 1.5 kernel would be covered with this anyway since its not one you put into seplugins folder and enable through recovery. when i put 1.5 on 3.71m33 it actually flashed the files in
even if its not the case, becus25 shouldnt take long to port his 1.5 kernel across
and i would like to take this moment to apologize to becus25 for things that i have said about his coding ability when the IE firmwares were doing the rounds
people can be such idiots sometimes and i was
i'll still say they were not my thing but these 1.50 kernel are great.
so becus25 Dark Moon i'm truly sorry for being one of the jerks that hung crap on you
oh
i believe you should go back to becus25 or choose something different
ever since DAX everyone is dark something
Thank U DAX!!! Ur the greatest!!!!
mathy and daxy are
+lt;3
i've been waiting for this! i didnt go to work today just for this!!! so at what time exactly will the update come out?
jeeez i was so excited i lost track of time, i guess i wont be going to work tomorrow too!
Can't wait to see how this will be done.. hope fully they have the old style updates as an option.
Oh My Goodness! I've waited for so long for this 3.80 M33. Thanks 4 Dark Alex who created that firmware. More Power to QJ.net
just curious. usually things aren't compatible with future updates (i'm on 3.71 slim). so i don't see a reason to update.
-New Radio Channel
-The higher the firmware the better chance to play UMD games that requires updates.
what you talking about compatible stuff? thats easy to fix again.
but u cant update to 3.80 M33 wit 3.71 can u? U gotta go through all the downgrading and pandora crap, right? or am I wrong... cuz i would be HAPPY if I was wrong.
or do u have 3.71 M33?
Dark Alex eres el mejor hombre. Buen trabajo.
Thx for the efforts DAX !
Will donate for sure.
nice, looking forward to installing this.
dunno if its possible to integrate these in the cfw, but how about:
-standard ogg and flac support
-make/edit/delete m3u playlists
-integrated avi support
-flash7 support
that would make the PSP the unbeatable media player!
i would be a miserable boring person if it weren't 4 your all your hard work.....i worship DAX
The Network Update part is really a cool feature, however I have reflashed my PSP to replace NWU with the VSH Rebooter plugin. Surely I must still be able to upgrade somehow? I don't mind the "messy-installations" since they are already very simple.
This means that when you have updated to 3.80 M33 you will be able to get FUTURE updates for it via Network Update. You won't be able to update to 3.80 M33 via Network Update...
Ohh, if some people get confused about this they might accidentally update to 3.80 official from 3.71 M33 in the hopes of getting 3.80 M33 via Network Update... This might get messy!
I don't think official Sony firmwares will install over CFW...
@urherenow
DAX removed that protection once Pandora and Despertsr el cementrio had been released. Now you can easily install official sony firmware over CFW by just runnig the official update eboot.
Dax had put in that protection because he didnt want people to inadvertly brick their psps but now that there is pandora to easily fix bricks, he has now made it possible to upgrade cfw to ofw easily.
Actually thats not true
it was 1.50
DAX had to corrupt the IDStorage keys for TA-082 and 86's
however, when the slim come out it was proven that it was impossible to install the 1.50IPL without bricking
so he used custom IPL's meaning the corrupted key no longer needed to be corrupted and so if you install 3.71m33 or this one and your key is corrupt, it will ask you to fix that key (0x43?) before continuing also meaning sony updates now work again.
i cant help thinkin DAX and mathieulh probably knew they could do it without 1.50 kernel for a while but didnt want sony to know until the release of the slim. i mean the slim was hacked on release.
would of been different if the first dual kernel custom firmware (2.71SE) used custom IPL without 1.50 (ok 2.71HEN was still an option for people scared of downgrading) but 1.50 was too versatile not to chuck in there even if he could of done a custom FW without 1.50 kernel.
all this would of meant is through 2.71 in HEN mode, he could of put custom firmwares in TA-082's and TA-086's without corrupting key 0x43 thus meaning the slim would be alot meaner than it is today.
