Zune 2 is CNET' most wanted for week ending October 28 - Image 1CNET has just released the poll results for their top 20 most wanted products for the week ending October 28. And from the looks of it, Microsoft's getting a pick-me-up as their upcoming Zune 2 media player pulls ahead of the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3 to first place. From an ugly duckling to a swan, indeed.

Getting into specifics, the Zune 2.0 player (available only in black) will carry a new iPod-style Zune pad, a 3.2-inch screen, and a set of downloadable features that are expected to be available come this fall. And while Sony has already made plans to phase out their 60 GB PlayStation 3 by the end of this year, the polls indicate that it's still on shoppers' wish lists at third place.

Other notables we spied in the list were the Apple iPhone, which got fifth place, and the recently released black PSP Slim, which was at eleventh place.

Wow, I didn't know that anybody actually wanted this player. I don't really understand what is so great about it.

I don't know why anybody ever wanted a Wii. Now it looks like Nintendo is faking supply shortages in a vein attempt to keep peoples' interest. I never understood what anybody thought was so great about that POS.

I don't understand how Nintendo could be faking shortages. They have sold more units than the XBOX360 in half the time. Considering it's high demand, it would seem like an economical boo-boo to keep supply short on purpose. But then again, you don't have to provide any pro's and con's because when it comes to Nintendo products "Mister", you just HATE. Again if somebody could provide concrete evidence that Nintendo is holding out, please show it to me, I would be glad to check it out.

don't hate on the wii.

I'm just glad that maybe finally there will be a shortage to all the apple fanboys. Man, that piece of $hit ipod really pi$$e$ me off...

Then again, I do at times hate the PSP for being so overpriced, yet I have 2... Maybe I'm just being hypocritical.

Now if only Microsoft's flagship gaming product, the 360, were in the top 20. That thing, though, is nowhere to be seen even in the top 20.

Just thought I would point this out as MCS seems to think any criticism of an MS product validates his bashing of another one.

Dude, you don't even have to bash an MS product for him (MCS) to bash another. He will definately do it for no reason.

Nintendo said they will not increase production this holiday season, while also admitting there will be shortages AGAIN. Can't find a link, but if they cared about their customers at all, seems to me they'd make enough consoles after an ENTIRE YEAR, not simply choose not to. Nintendo also doesn't even seem interested in popular third party titles, even though that poor choice may doom their console to failure.

Since they are making lots of profit off first party software and hardware sales, they couldn't give a rat's ass about the lame ass game selection. More sales for first party mario games, right Nintendo?

I'm not bashing, but what Nintendo is doing is wrong, and they do not deserve a top spot (don't worry, they'll lose it soon, I guarantee!)

   Re: TRAPPEDinALASKA - 2007-10-30
 » lol @ MCS

"I'm not bashing." Like hell your not. Nintendo is selling consoles, whether they hold it off or not (and they're NOT). You sound just like the ppl who complained that Nintendo would die at day 1 of launch day, and now with Nintendo back at the #1 spot you still won't give up.

And what do you mean they don't care about third party? I guess thats why its getting RE4 (I hate ports, but still), got back Square(-Enix), have the infamous Manhunt, and a bunch of other third parties wanting to make money on what is probably the most profitable console yet.

Oh and the Wii was selling just on Mario games. Thats why I didn't see a single one on launch day and the console still sold great. Thanks for clarifying that Mario is in NO WAY like Master Chief, who is able to get games sold because of quality, eloquence, and innovation, and it isn't because of those Xbox fanboys who bought a 360 on day one waiting for it.

Duh the 60GB is still on people's wishlists;
it has PS2 upscaling and cardreaders :P

Don't understand why anyone wants the 'Zune' though...

Zune2. THats a good one! :D LOLOLOLOLOL.

With the IPod Touch I don't see how anyone can give a flying F*** about MS's 2nd sh*tty attempt at a music player.

   Re: Someone_PR - 2007-10-30
 » yeah...

with the ipod touch... but not everybody will pay that for a mp3 player and the zune isn't against the itouch, is with the ipod clasic. Now, the old zune was ugly, but this one really looks cool and I really like it.

   Re: TRAPPEDinALASKA - 2007-10-30
 » Bleh.

I hate touch screens since then you'll need to have a stylus with you at all times, or you need to touch the screen (making it look bad).
The Zune2 (if I'm reading about it correctly) has a touch feature too, but it is on a little quare thing, and it isnt part of the screen. That may be something I'd buy, but it'd just be easier for me to just get a Classic Ipod, since I really don't need all of this extra stuff on a Music Player. If I wanted to watch movies, listen to music, and see pictures I'd just buy a labtop (since it also lets me play my Worms: Armageddon :D )

» LOL, just see this video about the zune 1

It's from CNET.com

http://reviews.cnet.com/4660-12578_7-6665453.html?tag=vid.2

You'll see, it's REALLY funny, LOL.

Anyway, I think that the 1st zune was total crap. And I'm not into zune 2 either. The 2nd is looking better, but I'm sure it'll still be big and useless. Zune 1 had nothing more than some other mp3 players that cost half what the zune cost... I think it'll be the same this time for the 2. I mean, it'll be good for the gigs, but it'll be so big anyway. And I'm more into flash players, they are thin and REALLY fast compared to HDD players. They have less space but I only have 14gigs of music, and I'm not into video too much (still cool in the bus, but I have a hard time reading or watching a movie in a car or a bus), I'm more into music, and for that, a smaller form is better, like the ipod nano (almost unbeatable) and the new walkmans (no sonicstage? hihaaa).

Anyway, the 30g zune would be great for 99$ but... not really for more, it's too locked for me...

Re: Mister Common Sense - 2007-10-31
 » yeah
