Do you guys remember the PSP developer who goes by the moniker Stealth Kill? If you do, then you'll probably remember CS Combined Assault - the author's PSP homebrew adaptation of Valve's Counter-Strike FPS game for the PC. These two items are the topic of today's announcement, as word over at the QJ.Net Forums is that Stealth Kill has just released version 0.6. Here are the latest improvements to the homebrew: |

didnt the first one have an option for infastructure?
This is a very cool brew, keep up the good work!
but it would be swweeet with surf_ maps hahaha
This is one of the greatest homebrews ever.Period. Please continue to work on this, because even with just bots, this is hilariously fun. I can't wait for infrastructure. Good job, man!
Stealth Kill :
I am deeply disappointed that you have released a new version of CS Combined Assault based on our unreleased Quake code, especially after I explicitly requested that people didn't publish Quake builds before it was done.
Here are a few tips:
* Credit the authors. We did do most of the work after all.
* Respect the GPL and publish your code.
* Wait until code is done before stealing it.
Peter
awsomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I cant play, it just keeps sayin the game couldnt be started and it sends me back to the XMB
it's a pretty good homebrew app (greatly improved from v0.5)
but it's pretty buggy
it seems to me that if you go to the options menu during play
then exit
then attempt to jump
it'll bring up an error screen and require a reboot
but other then that good work man
wtf im shoooting chikens, how is this "the greatest hb ever?"
wang_huge, You need to read and fallow directions,
just because you don't know how to use this
homebrew and it's controls to the fullest doesn't
mean it's not the best homebrew. Check out the
read me in the provided rar file you got the
homebrew from or control menus to find the proper
commands for spawning bots instead of chickens.
Also try reading the QJ's PSP Development Forum link
for the homebrew your trying out before posting
statements that are off.
I also found the glitch Kaja was speaking about.
Good call Kaja.
PeterM, I don't know what to say about this guy
and doesn't rightly care... I'm just glad to have some
CS on my PSP.
0.6 is a very good improvement over 0.4 & 0.5, keep
up the great work.
Infrastructure does work I think.
You need to host a game and give that IP to a friend
and they can connect to your game, I don't know
what the player count is though.
I wish it were easier then that but unfortunately it
doesn't look like their will be dedicated servers so it
will only be via direct connect.
effing sweet, but the textures for the Player and some of the bots are FCKED up bad. but other than that, it is GREAT!!!! But in 0.7, are you going to include a pistol or two? and i also noticed, the m16 and the other automatic are nailguns. In my opinion, you should make them real guns
Hi, I am a great fan of the counterstrike combined assault series. I am here to suggest a few things:
1)Stable Multiplayer
2)Capture the Flag
3)Capture and Hold
4)Story-mode Single Player
5)Vehicles
6)Outdoor HUGE Maps
7)More Maps, Indoor and Outdoor
8)More Weapons (Pistols, Grenades, Sniper Rifles, etc.)
9)Framerate
10)Other Small Things (Player and Gun Models, Zoom, etc.)
I am deeply looking forward to your next release. Please take these suggestions into consideration. Thank you!
