Go! SudokuAlong with Worms: Open Warfare, there will be other games to be released this week for the PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, and for the PSP.

Atari, Ubisoft, Namco, Konami, Capcom, Team 17 and THQ are all releasing games for the PSP this week. The games look promising (Worms is still my standard for the category "promising"), as Capcom Classics Remixed will be out with the following games: Metal Gear Acid 2, Me and My Katamari, Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle, Go! Sudoku and Kao Challenger.

Go! Sudoku is different from all the other releases as it's a numbers puzzle game from Ubisoft. This Japanese phenomenon is addictive, according to some reviews. The game requires the players to place numbers inside a grid so that the numbers one to nine will only appear once in every column, row and box. This game allows multiplayer and single-player modes with different levels of difficulty. Of course, you could also save yourself some cash and get the free Sudoko homebrew by Chau Le.

This game from Ubisoft will be released on March 21, 2006.

I admit that Sudoku is a fun thing to do to pass time, but I can't see why we can be charged for something you can find in about EVERY newspaper, even the free ones.. Its not like you cant take a newspaper on the go!

» Sudoko homebrew by Chau Le

The homebrew version lets you listen to MP3's while you work on puzzles, and from the screenshots the homebrew version looks better as well. Out of all the homebrew PSP titles I have played this is the one I play 75% of the time. There was also a LUA version that was not as great.

» ...this is a BAD idea

for the people looking tward this... first of all, shouldn't you be taking care of your Pokemon Cards instead of buying this game? And second of all, you guys will have a sudoku board burned into your screen... which SUCKS...

lazr_po1nt3r is just one step smarter than an anonymus coward. There is a fine line between lazr_po1nt3r and first post anonymus cowards.

 » so you know...

There is a version 2.0 of Chau Le's sudoku homebrew that is in the downloads of this site as well. (lcd screen picture being burnt in? maybe stuck, burned no... I mean look at the xmb) can't wait until lazr_po1nt3r (leet!) makes a popular homebrew.

 » PSP homebrew sucks

I upgraded my PSP from 1.5 to 2.60

I decided that all my "homebrew" should be run on my PC and/or Laptop.

Bigger screen, and emulation is generally better.

Sudoku sucks no matter what you play it on..

 » those colors hurt

IMO that is the worst looking sudoku i have ever seen, it literally hurts to look at, i think the homebrew is amazing, i love playin couttonine's on my google home page, and maybe id pay for sudoku if there were some good features(i dont know what features im talkin about but ill leave that to someone more creative) but id only pay like 10 bucks at the MOST, but deffinately not for sumthin that looks like that.

 » Save your money.

Buy a newspaper.

You can listen to MP3s while you have a newspaper in your hand cant you?

Sudoku is much better played on the PSP. Just download the Sudoku Homebrew by Chau Le.

 » Not the real screenshot

That is actually a screenshot of a version of Sudoku for Palm PDAs.

Go! Sudoku has been available in the UK for about 6 months, and looks nothing like that screenshot.

And second of all, you guys will have a sudoku board burned into your screen...

Well if you totally SUCK at sudoku you have a slight chance of this happening... LCD's are quite different than LCD's, although the crystals can get stuck, this is after extended use without slight change in the colour displayed. Chances are that you're not gonna play for about 6-7 hours straight, you will not risk the possiblity of damaging your lcd. You are more likley to break your LCD using the maximum brightness feature with the AC adapter plugged in...
