Ó

We've already given you a bunch of screens and a sneak peek into Konami's Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles via the gameplay vid we brought you earlier. But for the hardcore Castlevania fanatics, those sure as hell ain't enough to keep 'em satisfied.

So...we're back with another trailer for the game which gives us a glimpse into vampire ass-kicking as well as some of the boss fights Richter Belmont and Maria Renard will be faced with. Now as you all know, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is basically a re-tooled and bumped up version of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, with 3D graphics and unlockable versions of the original Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night games.

Anyhoo, here's the snake-whippin' vampire ass-kicking vid. Enjoy!

This looks like the best game ever. Does it come out for PSP. I hope so... Graphics look so awsome. I wish it was out now...

Of course it's for PSP. I doubt this site would show off a game for another console unless it stated something about it.

But yea, I'm excited for this game too! I've heard that Rondo of Blood was the second best game in the series, second to SotN. Some even say it is the best. After spending pretty much a whole summer playing SotN when it came out, those are some big shoes to fill.

I've downloaded 4 different Rondo roms hoping I could emulate it on my PSP with the PCengine emulator, heard it was a hard game to get working so I got as many as I could from different places. If this really includes the original AND SotN I'm going to just wait for this! Great news!

Rondo was dead as a doornail and Konami repeatedly clamed it would never, ever see the light of day gain. I'm happy as a pig in sh*t right now. I tried the raggedy MP3 dumping ISO creation thing and never got a copy that had working sound, and sure as hell wasn't about to spend three figures for a scratched up used copy. Getting it on the PSP is a double bonus since we'll hopefully get to play in the native resolution.

If original Rondo is unlockable, I'm going to have to download a save from the internet. I'd rather play the oldschool one first. I've only played Rondo up until the 1st level boss, and with no sound. PC Engine emulators suck.

I am a huge castlevania fan and this makes me sick! I want a new castle game for my PSP! not a rehashed game. I am tired of all these remakes. If I want a re-make I can just play one of my emulators!

Man. This sucks!

Since not many people have played castlevania Rondo before decently I guess this counts as a new game. If you have played it already then that sucks for you, but for most of is really great news.

Great to see Konami finally bring this game over to our side of the pond. Due to the fantastic work of Dark_Alex, Castlevania SOTN on the go right truely makes the bus rides a lot more bearable now. I really hope Konami adds something new to the SOTN version they are going to provide with Dracula X.

I've always thought to myself that porting over and touching up Rondo of Blood would be a great move on the PSP... I'm surprised they're actually going to do it though.

How about adding the extras from the Saturn version?

So it is a remake of a game we can already play on PSPs with graphical updates, and unlockable games both of which we can already play on PSPs anyway?

Even if they add the two new areas and Maria Renard from Nocturne (which she rocks), it isn't worth the $50 price tag.
