IGN still lists it as unreleased, but SuperUFO.com down in Hong Kong seems to have it (and I don't see the word "pre-order" anywhere): Beautiful Game Studios' Championship Manager 2007 for the PSP, the little handheld association football (football, soccer, whatever - we'll stick with the full formal terminology) management game, in its US version. Which is kinda weird because the packshot SuperUFO's using has a Euro PEGI ratings badge on it, not the US ESRB ratings badge. Now if they're advertising Championship Manager as the "US version", maybe they just don't have an updated packshot yet. Hopefully, this isn't a mistake, or the smell of something rotten in Denmark (if you get what we mean). |

It's been quite a while since we were last updated about the recent goings on in Eidos Interactive's soccer management game, Championship Manager 2007.
Eidos must've noticed this lack in game promotion too, as they've just released a new batch of screens for both the Xbox360 and PSP versions. As you know, Championship Manager will be heading back to your handhelds with a brand new look and even more new skins to make it refreshing on your eyes. Like the ones you see in these PSP screens: Now just in case you've forgotten, here are some of the features you can look forward to seeing in Championship Manager 2007:

Eidos Interactive has confirmed that Championship Manager 2007 will be released on the PS2, Xbox 360, and the PSP in the first quarter of 2007. This installation promises to be totally new in terms of the look and the intuitive control system, making it even more playable than before. For the Xbox 360, there will be the Xbox Live in Online Battle Mode Matches where players can battle it out with each other head-to-head. You can also download season data, as well as new Challenges. You can even compare your Manager Profile and Achievement Points with your friends online. Same thing goes for the PSP version. There's the Battle Mode via wi-fi play where you can go one-on-one with friends in friendly competition. For Championship Manager 2007, managers are now given the ability to design their own set piece drills on the tactics pitch and then use them in a match. Apart from this, they could now also interact with the teams by giving motivational talks both before and during matches. Additional features are as follows:

Football Management fans ahoy! Eidos have today confirmed that the next installment of Championship Manager on PSP will release on 7, April 2006 (UK). The title was developed for Eidos by Gusto Games and features a complete and up to date version of the football management simulation, including the latest transfers straight from the January 2006 transfer window.Brand Manager, Ray Livingstone stated; "This is the perfect football fix for fans, we're coming to the end of another fantastic season and there's a gap before the World Cup begins. What better way to spend your time then on the biggest football management simulation on the PSP." Championship Manager 2006 for the Sony PSP handheld will feature 55 playable leagues across the top 12 footballing nations. A 2D match engine is also included, so fans can see the match unfold. They've also improved the manager options which influence your team tactics. So get your footie boots on one end and your thinking cap on the other, it's only a couple of weeks away. |
