Developer thecobra, author of the Robot Warriors DC and JOKEtopia programs, has released a new application for the PSP called Change-D. It's a simple prx that lets you switch between games and applications in the VSH by pressing the L button. The author says that the program is compatible with all custom firmwares. The program has also been quickly updated to be able to swap between 150, 3xx, and 4xx folders. Be sure to read the documentation included in the download for more information. Here are the developer's notes for Change-D v0.2: Installation

» "Delete the normal game folder?"
Sounds cool, but isn't the normal game folder kinda important?

» Actually...
The normal GAME folder needs to be removed because this application swaps directories by renaming the two folders you are supposed to create (eg. when you press L the game folder becomes the games folder and the apps folder becomes the game folder, when you press L again the game folder becomes the apps folder and the games folder becomes the game folder).

» OK, I tried this program out...
So far, this program is a great idea, and does what it is supposed to, but there is always room for improvement. Here are a few suggestions:
This plugin is good if you have a lot of games and only a few apps, and may prove to be useful. However, I would like to be able to have at least 3 or 4 directories available because my apps actually need organising. Perhaps the program could check a text file to determine which directories to switch between?
Having to select another folder and then go back to the game folder each time I press the L button is kind of bothersome for me. However, this is just a minor thing and beats the hell out of scrolling through dozens of games just to reach the bottom of the list where I keep all of my apps. If that one little issue was resolved then this plugin would be awesome, but it does its job in its current state.
Perhaps creating a menu to choose the directories would be a good idea as well, if you have the time to do so. Maybe the people who programmed VSHMenu could help you with that.

» wait this actually works?
An initial release with no bugs? I actually do keep many apps for system management on my PSP just in case (god-forbid) something terrible ever happens O_O
