The results are in for ChartTrack's top games in the UK All Format category for the week ending October 27, and it is a favorable one for soccer games for all platforms.

As expected the latest title under Konami's hit soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and PS2) is topping the charts. Quite remarkable for a game that was released only last October 26. The former chart topper Football Manager 2008 by Sega for the PC and Mac OS X is now sitting on third place, while EA's FIFA 08 (for the PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, DS, PSP, Wii, PC) is still holding on to its second placer spot from the previous week, after getting kicked unceremoniously by Football Manager 2008 on the week ending October 6.

As for games from other genres, Nintendo's hit portable adventure The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is also not moving from its fourth spot since last weeks's charts. Bungie Studios' Halo 3 is still riding the waves of its popularity (though a bit subdued), and is now occupying the 8th spot in the current charts.

Here's the list of the top ten games that made it in ChartTrack's All Format category for the week ending October 27:
  1. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (Konami)
  2. FIFA 08 (EA)
  3. Football Manager 2008 (Sega)
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo)
  5. Ratatouille (THQ)
  6. The Orange Box (EA)
  7. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo)
  8. Halo 3 (Microsoft)
  9. High School Musical: Makin' The Cut! (Disney Interactive Studios)
  10. Crash of the Titans (Vivendi Games)

 » huh

I take it that Halo isn't a big thing in the UK, because I find it strange that MP3 beat it on the list.

» We're talking about the UK here...

It's football damnit! Not Soccer!

Now that that's out of the way, (that means dont bother, just shut up anyone else who was planning on saying it, we dont need a huge argument about why they raped our language,) there's nothing remarkable about it.

You guys really should get people from the countries doing stuff like this or just keep it to American stuff, because this is about the third thing about the UK I've seen where it's said something's amazing, or something strange has happpened, because it seems odd to you lot, but it's just common practice for us, and I'm sure it happens for stuff for other countries too. (Anyone after an example, on the 24th there was a thing about Play and Amazon openly selling Metroid which came out on the 26th.)

Of course it's going to top the charts! Football's huge over here. Just because you lot dont even know its proper name, doesn't mean every other country is obsessed with the same sports games as you. Might not have realised, but it's the biggest sport in the world. Almost everyone in the country who has any games console at all bought that thing.

I know the only thing said here is it's "remarkable", but this is more a straw that broke the camels back thing, than annoyance at it being called amazing. I just felt it needed to be said that things are being put on this site from an American perspective, even when it's nothing to do with the country, and it's ending with stupid stuff being said.

Oh, and to the guy above, Halo is still huge over here. Metroid's just bigger here than it is over there I guess.

 » not to nay-say

Not to be a Nay-Sayer, but I would definately call Halo 3 a "BIG" game instead of "Huge", since it is 8th on this top ten list.
