Here's a question for you guys who have been following news on Ramiro Cruz's drug-busting loco-ness for the PSP, Chili Con Carnage: How would you like to work for Deadline Games? The Copenhagen-based developer is letting everybody know that they are now hiring fresh, young minds over at the ongoing Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. "Deadline Games is a fantastic place to work, and we feel GDC is the right venue to reach the quality of talented development professionals we want and need," said Deadline Games CEO Chris Mottes. "We have more than 30 of our employees at the show learning, networking, and available to meet potential candidates." And even if you're not applying, you may also want to drop by their booth anyway, as they'll be holding drawings for free copies of Chili Con Carnage. So for whatever reason that you may be passing by, the booth number to remember will be CP1418, at the Career Pavilion booth on the Expo Floor. |

And The PSP Show continues on with the show as it comes out with episode #34, this time featuring their review for Eidos' Chili Con Carnage. And that ain't all they've got to talk about. Also mentioned in the bit was the release of Monster Hunter Portable in Japan, and how well-received it was there on its first day. Anyway, if you find entertainment in bad jokes, then number one, something must be wrong with you, and two, well, you'll get a pretty healthy dose of that right in this episode. But all that's supposedly in context with the review. Cos actually, that's the kind of humor you'd get in the game: "grown, cringe-worthy, inducing humor". Also, they describe Chili Con to be an interesting toss-up of a Tarantino flick (b-movie, at that), GTA, and Double Dragon serving. Now, if you wanna hear more what they've got to say about it, hints, tricks, tips... then get the podcast right here. Download: The PSP Show 34: Chili Con Carnage |

Deadline Games has been spinning some lavish tales for us gamers since
its foundation in 1996. Apparently, it doesn't matter how long you've
been in the business to get the party up and running. Especially for
this team of independent Nordic developers who name Robert Rodriguez
and Quentin Tarantino as their influences. So, what's up, Deadline? GameSpot had a li'l tetê-a-tetê with CEO Chris Mottes, and here, their thoughts on game development, the inner workings in the industry, and plans for conquering the next-gens were revealed. Mottes was particularly proud of how they developed their PSP action-shooter Chili Con Carnage. "We believe we're going to have the highest kill rate of any PSP game ever! We're aiming for a good hundred-kills-per-second!" And blast away, we're sure this game will. More on games for the Wii, their next project, and daughters after the jump! |

It's time to go meet some of the members of the gang. Well, alright. So we ain't really sure just how flattered you'd be if your friends are described to be rich, ruthless and dumb, or young, vengeful and dumb. You know what they say: the friends you choose reflect the kind of person you are. And nobody likes being called dumb, true or otherwise.
But regardless of this "dumbed down" image, there's no denying these guys in Deadline Games' Chili Con Carnage know business when they see one, and they sure as icy hell mean it. So, if you wanna pick up a thing or two about being dumb, while at the same time being hot, check out the video below. |

While Deadline Game's Chili Con Carnage title may not be going loco on your PSP until this February 27, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying more of the game's selection of insane moves and Mexican stereotypes. And what does this latest mini-trailer offer up, considering the crazy crop of characters we've been watching in past segments? It's Ramiro Cruz all over again, this time going crazy on the game vehicles, be it helicopters, hot rods, harriers, or - probably most menacing of all - tractors. Hey, it is Cruz we're talking about - the man we'll remember earlier for surfing the waves with a Maverick missile. Without further ado, we bring you the video. In the comments section, aside from the occasional Captain Planet summoner guy making his usual statement(s), a couple of you guys have already managed to get a copy of Chili Con Carnage. But let's not go into the whole slew of illegality here. We've got news about the game hitting retail. Apparently, it's been delayed. It was scheduled for a February 13 release, but upon further investigation, we found out that it's been delayed. EBGames confirms it now for a February 27 roll out. As of writing, Deadline Games hasn't commented on the reason for its delay. Well, while there's still a couple of days more to wait for its release, a lot of guys have already been saying how the game actually pwns. To think that, for quite some time now, there's been much feedback that "it's just a GTA-clone." Well, to each his/her own - unless the Captain Planet guy has something to say about it. |

Hoping something new will come crashing your way and on to your PSP soon? How about "now"-soon? Soon enough for you? Yep, the wait is over, 'cuz we have here not just one, nor two, but... oh, alright. We've got a whole lot of new stuff for your PSP. Uh, okay, so let's peg that at eight, shall we?Anyway, keeping the facts (and my head) straight, us.playstation.com has just put up on their site the February Content Pack. And it's a pretty --er-- healthy pack, actually. From playable demos (which require the latest system software), to wallpapers and screenshots, your PSP sure will be one happy burper once it gets its fill of this goodies. So, without further ado:

Just how spicy do you want your chili? Chili con Carnage just slathers on the hot sauce in this new gameplay trailer.
It's a game that's way too absurd to be true, considering it has all the movie cliches down to Desperado's guitar case guns plus the muscle bound bikini clad men. (Admit it, you had no idea whether to head to the bathroom to puke or roll on the carpet laughing.) Anyway, Deadline Games' Chili con Carnage takes us on an adventure with Ramiro Cruz as he goes against carpet chested druglord Cesar Morales. Loco moves are just as the name suggests. Insane moves at their finest. El Toro will have you blindly charging at enemies like an enraged bull. El Gimpo, El Mariachi, Golden Gun (helps shooting blondes), and the Matrix move Tornado are among the other stunts players will be able to pull off. Chili con Carnage will hit the shelves in three days - February 13. Easy on the chili and check out the video. |

Them Latinos are really suave, aren't they? Admit it, you too were awed by smooth Antonio Banderas in "Desperado" as he launched his attack against his foes with his guitar/gun case. And apart from the stereotypical mustache and sombreros, we all know acoustic guitars are highly associated with them as well. So, why all this talk about guns carried about in guitar cases? Nothing, really. It's just that this new bunch of screenshots we have for Chili Con Carnage exhibits one such screen, in perfect homage to that classic "Desperado" scene. And, well, it caught this writer's fancy. Oh, and could somebody please explain to me what's with the steroid-guys-in-swimwear-and-heels? |
