We have featured articles about Jonas Hielscher's homebrew game called CollecTic. Not aware with this game? This very interesting piece of homebrew meat is actually a standout among the collective. CollecTic is a game that uses the standard features of the PSP, specifically on the handheld's ability to scan for wireless access points to the Internet which means that you'd have to really move around to play the game. Now whoever said that gamers are such couch potatoes? |

Looks like I am first again. I ROCK!!!!!
I have been waiting for this. Looks interesting and adventurous.
for version .14 of the game how about collect the access points and then crack the wep ;) now that would be worth a download.
Testing Right Now...
THis game iis retarded and I can barely even find 1 wireless network where i live!
***** the guy that made this game. Make something better like doom3 for psp!
Nice concept, i'll try this tomorrow ^^
useless for most people, as the towns have barely any access points, and why would you walk around town with a 250 dollar machine!? it would either get stolen by someone, or someone would bump into and you would accidentally drop it, etc.
lol you guys, dont complain about this just cause you don't have a lot of access points in your area. I have tons where I live!
Interesting concept for a game. I like it.
For those of you who are bashing it... make something better. Cant? O well. STFU NOOBS.
It sounds interesting, and I'll be sure to try it when I next go out....
Thing is, I was waiting for that guy to bump into something, plus i'm not sure about how many hotspots there are around where I live, not many i'm sure.
this is fun-- i dont live in a town or anything so i wont get it stolen. I live in a quiet tree lined neighborhood so this is loads of fun.
Only walking tru my room gives me 12 access points =P
I cant because im not a super nerd like you.
This is old news.
>>13 how is that being a super nerd?
>>14how is this old? it was just released!
i dont get this game???i have always wanted it and go and play it now i have it and have Tryed PLaying it and Dont know WTF to do O_o
some one help me i have an accsess point on my house but i cant find any thing ?
good game
looking for updates on it
i do a little parkour (see www.parkour.com or download video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rxv8SS1XU_8 ( im not the boy in the video )
maybe this game is good to do with
@20, I do parkour as well, and your comment is quite useless by using it, where are you going to keep your PSP whilst running/climbing etc.?
i mean light parkour, without rolling, on the ground level,
however you can put your psp on your chest on the side
bye!!!
w are you from ? dutch means holland?
im from italy!
bye!
so will this help me find spots in my area?
haha I just took a little walk around my neighborhood for about an hour and got about 4069 points!
lol last week I used wifi sniffer or whats it called and found allready 64 wifi connections in a 5 minutes walk to a supermarked around the corner :D
so I guess this game should work for me :)
looks crazy but cool just 1 question as post 23 asks will this [or aint it good enoughat drawing signals in] or any other homebrew app what helps you find hotspots if not then anyone up for a new progect as there next challent called sommat like hot spot seeker .
just wondering or is it wishfull thinking?
for post #26
it exists a program that founds hotspot
its called wifisniffer
.... this game made me walk into a wall wtf
and then some guy called the police on me for being outside his house n *****. i had to run from the police and i got away those fat pigs but man this game caused nothin but trouble for me.
How the HELL DO I PLAY?!?!?!?
#28, did you find any access points while running away from the police?
if a old grandmother see a odd guy walking up an down in the street like the one in the movie, she'll call police.
I see three things happening with this game..
1) Man gets mugged not paying attention
2) Man gets hit by a car playing this game
3) "This is the police, put down the explosive or we will open fire!"
======
lol..
oh and @ #12 you must live at an apartment :D
@#13 you suck balls go away
