echochrome website goes live - Image 1

"A world where your common sense is overturned: echochrome." This is the tagline used in the official Japanese website for the black-and-white puzzler from SCEJ. Well, sure enough, for a game that patterns itself from an M.C. Escher-esque environment, common senses being overturned might be a bit of an understatement.

Yes, the graphics are a bit on Zen side of the spectrum, but there's still a different kind of appeal to it. Much like how its website works. While the Japanese text is causing our minds to do some linguistic overturning, clicking around the echochrome will get you places. Once you're in the main portion of the Flash site, you can view some screenshots of the block puzzles and a video by clicking on either of the two buttons on the lower-left corner.

echochrome will be available for download on the PlayStation Network and also for the PSP.

 » Well this is....great.

Hmm okay so we get some game that could've easily been on a crappy flash games website. Rite.

If you could find someone who could do this game in flash just as well as the most intricate stages in this game work please do. Otherwise stop making up anything for hate. This couldn't be "easily" done with what this game will be putting forth in its harder stages.

wow the trailer on the website is just amazing. such an innovative and creative idea. I am really looking forward to this game and I hope that it gets released in the US. (Do all SCEJ games get released to US / English translations or only the selected few?)

Well, this game was presented at E3, so chances are it will indeed be release in the West.
