Ó

Looks like someone's had some stop-motion animation lessons from Tim Burton or something. Here's a video showing the PSP-3000 being unboxed, taken apart, and gutted for the sheer joy (and maybe torture, for some) of seeing what makes the new PSP tick.

As a stop-motion video, it's entertaining to watch (ooooh, look at that Ratchet & Clank UMD magically crawling out of the disc tray by itself!). As a PSP-3000 dismantling video for modders and the like, it's a treasure trove of details.

You'll soon notice that some comment bubbles will pop out occasionally, each one labeling every nook and cranny of the device: the UMD optical drive, earphone port, RF shield, Wi-Fi antenna, etc.

If you wanted a bible on the PSP-3000's hardware components without the techy mumbo jumbo, this is it. Enjoy!

Has anyone made any progress hacking this thing? Seems to have gone very quiet.

I really wanted to know if everything would come up to date for the 3000 series, but then again, I have heard from a few places that that it was recalled, and that some people are starting to try to get the details on the 4000 series. Either way, a new advancement would be a great thing for me to talk about at the upcoming holidays 'cause I'm the family nerd.

 » Gino D, please Read

I have no clue on how i may contact you but please e-mail me at: shinydude100@gmail.com, as i have a video i composed today, i know i promised a DaedalusX64 vid, but how about an internal release of what i like to call: DaedalusX64 Beta 1.1? That RIGHT, its a bit better than the public beta and it will only circulate through us devs, due to the fact that it has a slight performance increase.. as well as a tiny audio hang- issue, anyways, i have a video out, so if you can e-mail me, or find the vid, I'll send you the info.
