Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII coming to U.S. in March 2008? - Image 1

PlayStation Portable video game Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII immediately became a hit in Japan when it was released back in September of this year. We are pretty sure that same thing will happen in other markets if Square Enix would only decide to release it internationally.

Well, if we are to believe a recent listing over at the official website of retail chain Gamestop, it seems that Square Enix has indeed made up its mind and deemed it fit to bring Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII in North America on March 2008.

Currently, Gamestop has put a placeholder release date of March 25,2008 for the game as well as tentative suggested retail price of US$ 39.99. Until Square Enix releases an official statement, we have to take this with a grain of salt and keep our excitement level in check.

The translated script has been online for some time now, a google search for a crisis core script should bring it up, but I believe it is less of a pain to go back and forth.

» Once again i have to enlighten you all

First off we don't know whats going on with the other regions of the CC.

Second, Gamestop and ebgames(which gamestop bought BTW) Are usually inaccurate and we should never even trust or claim that this release date is true until more info is released.

Besides i know this is completely impossible but what if Square is waiting to give the U.S region of CC to us until a few days before Christmas. I know its a long shot which won't happen but just think what would happen if they decide to release it on the 19th or 20th of December. The sales and pre-orders would go through the roof especially considering its Christmas and thats where the sales really spike up. Now like i stated twice i know its a very very long shot but i can see the reasoning behind it.

NOT news... it's been March on Gamestop's site for months now, and you guys reported on that too... I think the grain of salt should be taken even moreso, and a news story not made of things that aren't news. No boxart, no word from Square, no word from Gamespot even, just a date they slapped on their site... just like Advent Children was, and we all know how that release date ended up turning out... two years late.

 » hi!

just to clarify.. this is not from the video game site gamespot but from the retail chain gamestop.. +)

   Re: Stealth! - 2007-11-23
 » What!^^

I think he meant gamestop not gamespot. Since he did mention gamestop in the first sentence.

Exactly stealth, typo... I had it right in the first sentence. My point still stands.
