Sephiroth - Image 1So we've got the original FF7 game, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core. Plus of course, other installments in the FF7 universe. (Sorry, Dissidia and KH are not part of FF7 canon, for obvious reasons.) Looks like those who were wondering whatever happened after the end of Dirge - much less those still insisting on a remake of the original - may have to wait a long while yet - and by saying "long while" that's an optimistic outlook. More like "never" than "long while" actually.

FF7 Ultimania - Image 1You think you know the FF7 universe all the way up to, and including, Crisis Core? Studio Bent Stuff, the guys in Japan responsible for the FF Ultimania guides, is taking advantage of the upcoming release of FF7: Advent Children Complete. The FFVII 10th Anniversary Ultimania, which was more recently released side-by-side with Crisis Core: FF7, is getting an update to reflect new info released for the FF7 universe.

PS3 PSP - PlayStation Awards 2008 - Image 1Man. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G just keeps on raking all those prizes and milestones in Japan, doesn't it? And what's the latest award of MHP 2nd G? It just won the Double Platinum prize in SCEJ's PlayStation Awards 2008 ceremonies where developers and publishers were given huge pats on the backs for their excellent PSP, PS3, and/or PS2 games. The event was held just earlier in Japan, with MGS4 and Crisis Core, among others, also bringing home the bacon.

Crisis Core - Image 1On Friday of last week, Squeenix released their latest sales figures via a PDF on their website.Their best cash cow so far: Crisis Core for the PSP had sold just shy of two million units worldwide since release day. This comes as little surprise given that Crisis Core was ranked the second best selling PSP game the month it was released in North America. PSP-3000 - Image 1Last month, Sony announced that they've sold about 10 million PSP units to Japanese retail. That figure, however, doesn't account for actual sales from the consumer. Today, we find out that that number has been breached.
