Like any creative person out there, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 director Hajime Tabata has his own sources of inspiration. He also admitted to having been influenced by a particular show. In a recent interview, Tabata told gamers a little bit about himself and about what drives him.The Crisis Core director said that he uses no specific method to get his creative juices flowing. His method is very straightforward, too: The usual procedure is to put a general image of the final product into a project proposal, then attempt to work in various ideas for each aspect of the game in a short time. In my case, these ideas come from everything in my past experience... Interestingly enough, Tabata admitted to being a fan of Doraemon. He mentioned that the show's "highly innovative items from the 22nd century" have really influenced his creative thoughts. The director is also a fan of movies and high-tech gadgets, and he has this penchant for becoming so interested in something as to devote all his free time to it. Tabata is currently working on a number of titles, including Final Fantasy agito13. The director acknowledged, however, that Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 world is his primary field of interest. In fact, a concept that might appeal him is that of a gun-action game set in that very world. |

gun-action game? uuuhhhh....... no! sqeenix needs to stop butchering FF7. i played crisis core and beat it in 20 hrs. that should not happen. the cinimatics were great but the battle system was gay. if they remake the origional FF7 it should be the EXACT same as the origional only with better graphics. thats what i think anyway.
p.s. get rid of the stupid F@#%*&^ DMW system

but then it would destroy the Final Fantasy series. Every FF game (and when I say every game I mean really every game) had a different way to level up, cast spells, fight etc. That is one aspect why I love FF. Some Systems were better while others were not SO good, but personally every system had something worth to play. Crisis Core made no difference there.
Taking the game and just improve the graphics wouldn't just be a Final Fantasy.

» @the calamity: I disagree!
If you want the same addicting crap over and over then go buy cigarettes.
PSX FF7 was boring for me, I bet they are remaking it as a secret, that would be fun, who knows...

Hrm. Maybe you should let Squeenix know what you prefer. That way, the next game may be more along the lines of what you actually like. ^^

» Next FF7 Based game
Crisis Core was long and thats how an RPG should be a good bang for your buck. I agree the DMW system sucked and battles were sometimes annoying but they were also quick and painless. Anyone notice the characters have a kingdom hearts look to them? lol
I think the next gun-based game is the next part of the Dirge of Cerberus game. Recall that in crisis core Genesis is taken away thats because he never died so they have to show what happened to him and not just leave a loose end in the story. The hidden ending in that game you actually see Genesis with his one black wing so thats the tipoff.
I quite frankly would DIE for a re-relase of FF7 on PS3 with some new content to spice it up :)
