PSP - Image 1No sooner have we started getting accustomed to the recent Custom PSP Theme Pack that PSP Nikos has to offer, when we receive word of another update. The man is letting everybody know that his team has just opened up Pack 4 for release, which carries even more goodies to help us along on our PSP-pimpin' spree. As for the new stuff available:

  • New DAX [Dark Alex] custom network update plugin
  • More XMB WAVES [10 - 15]
  • New RCO editor [Edit volume bars and loads more]
  • Custom Volume Bars [15-20]
  • New PSP 01-12bmp merger/spliter
  • New 01-12 custom images [E.G. Make your own]
  • More ready made 01-12 custom bmp images
  • More custom top_menu.rco files
  • Update on new Icons Custom Battery Files
  • New TGA wave editor
As always, PSP NIKOS would like to thank all PSP programmers and QJ.net for the effort - we thank him too for this cool bundle. But do make sure that you know what you're doing before installing the pack. As the devs say, "We are not responsible for any bricked PSP's!" And yeah, PSP NIKOS has another reminder. If you wanna edit the flash0, you should back up your old files.

For other reminders, just remember guys - always read the READMEs included in the bundle, and be sure to check for updates for your favorite apps. This file weighs in at about 32MB, so you better be ready with that extra bit of space for this download. Enjoy!

ive also bricked my psp, and very sensible didnt back the files up becasue ive never had problems with bricking before, just wondering if there is a way to fix it, all ive done is changed the top_menu.roc file. so i was wondering if i got a copie of the corect/working top_menu.roc file and pasted it back to the psp would this fix it?
and my psp is on 3.10 OE-A if that makes a difference.

any reply to this would be greatly appreciated.

 » How does this work....?

I may sound like a noob, and to some i might be. I just downloaded this, and i want to be totally sure I'm not going to F*ck up my PSP...

Theres no instructions in any of the Readme files that state how to do things, such as change the XMB icons, and the battery indicator, and the volume bar.

Can someone let me know how to do this..... is it as easy as just copying all of this to my PSP/GAME150 folder.... what exactly is it...

Thanks,
Tec

 » "Reboot PSP" program...

Has anyone tried this on 3.10 OE-A'? I notice that it changes the top menu rco file, so I thought I'd check here first....

Thanks...

   Re: EvilPlatypus - 2007-02-17
 » It works on 3.10 OE-A'....but...

Just verified that installing the Reboot plugin works on 3.10 OE-A', but as I suspected DO NOT update the top menu plugin. As a result, the text will still say 'Network Update' but it will reboot....

Hi, just wanna ask if whether it will be possible to some how install Divx/Xvid codec on the psp.

this will allow easy playback of divx/xvid video without having to convert it.

please some one tell me if this is possible and whether any devs are actually trying to inplement this codec.

Thanx

Ok this may seem very noobish because I really feel like a noob now...but I am running Firmware 1.5 non-custom FW. and you said "
For 3.03oe-? and below you can do everything!!!" So I figured hey I should be ok then right... Anyways I used x-flash to change the "topmenu_plugin.rco" Now I backed up my files but no good that did me because my psp freezes before it loads the XMB Icons...now I dont have a custom FW so I have no recovery menu...I think But is there anyway of fixing this at all...or did I just ruin my psp....because that would be sad since I bought it when it first came out...and thats a lot of money to be garbage now

ok im in cfw 3.03 OE-A and yesterday i ran this wave (system_plugin_bg(PS3).rco) that was included in the new pack and the dam thing now freezez when i turn on the psp the xmb menue doesnt even come on. i know how to get to the recovery menue by holding the right trigger but what exactlydo i do there. more liikely after i flashed that exact wave is when this happened. please help.

   Re: PSP NIKOS - 2007-02-18
» HELP IS ON THE WAY

Firstly you have to rename the system_plugin_bg(PS3).rco to system_plugin_bg.rco.

Secondly in the recovery menu go to 'advanced' then 'activate flash0'.

When it connected to the computer go into the 'vsh' folder the 'resource and post the origonal or custom 'system_plugin_bg.rco

If you need any more help feel free to post it!
