If you liked the custom battery edits from undertaxxx, then maybe you'd fancy this next tidbit we're gonna share with you. PSP homebrew developer, vision, came up with custom color volume bars that you can use in your PSP's XMB. Current colors are red, blue, gold/yellow, and green. Check 'em out yourself: It's pretty surprising how a simple change could affect your XMB's appearance. Anyhow, the dev mentions that these should work for custom firmwares (CFW) and homebrew capable firmwares. As for the instructions on how to use them, check out the readme file that comes with the download. He also would want to thank Zinga for the RCO editor. |

Nice! But there are more useful stuff.. :P
Anyone know how to get those waves? :P They look really cool :D
am i the only one who is waiting for the final fantasy demo to come out!!!!
where do you get those background wavy lines from? i want them!
you can get those waves by downloading from this theme pack: "theme pack 1", on this site. and i think they are called yellow_red. hope that helps! :)
Lol! People seems to be more interested in the lines than the actual thing! (the vlume bars)
well the waves are easy they are on qj somewhere all you need is the pack from that nikos guy and your set
here's where its at. http://pspupdates.qj.net/Custom-PSP-Theme-Pack-3/pg/49/aid/82945
Enjoy the pack!
the wavy lines are part of the xmb ps3 theme
as for the volume, well, any file i can have modified takes it one step from sony, which makes me happy.
games, console, developers, coding the whole shell......awesome machine, sony stinks tho....
like a hairy turd, they stank!!
but any chance of a custom mute button too?
hehe, like i said, every step away from sony counts
Is it possible to make it start from lets say blue then as you turn it up, it will go red then when the volume is full it will be orange... so likes a rainbow color would be kewl:D
no you cant unless someone makes a custom prx for it.
nice subject on volume thats turned into waaves,
yeah i must admit they do look pretty sweet!
yarly
PINK, PINK, PINK!!!!!!
this is awesome, you can make a whole custom color scheme and not even touch one of those confusing as hell top menu makers. any chance of a xmb icon color changer, and a submenu color changer? and maybe even a premade xmb wave pack, cuz i cant figure out how to use any of the hex editing ones.
Pink, por favor.
black please =]

that is the pink . you cant do black but you can do dark silver/gray.
with the waves howd u get the background black??
what fw have you got jake?

Hey, can you tell me which wave you are using in that screenshot? I really like it, so kindly tell me where I can get it. Thanks!

(wave in my screenshot)
Yay! Our PSP's are/can be so cool now...
I love all this customizing, its great.
Now all we need is a Label Editor, Custom XMB Icons and Custom Name Plates working for 3.10/11 OE.
Top all this off with POPS, N64, SMS, SMD, GBA emu's and some good old 'brew apps and the PSP is a true Portable Emulation Station! :-D
I
SNES too!

what font is that, can anyone tell me where to get it, im on 3.10 oe-a
can somone please tell me where to get it
thanks
i would like to request a mix of colors if its possible, what i mean is to have the first bars one color than the next bars another and so on.
Sorry, but that is not possible using this method. All of these were made by using RCO Icon Editor to replace the pictures, and there are only four that we are interested in here: volume bar, volume dot, speaker on, and speaker mute. As of now, ever line has to be the same color and ever dot has to be the same color. However, you could do different colors for the lines and dots (ex. green lines and red dots).
Please do Aqua???
I must say this is a great modification keep it up :)
how do i change the background to black when on the waves
fw 3.10 oea
I did this 1st!!! I get no credit!!! FVCK THAT!!!
http://forums.qj.net/showthread.php?t=95705&page=2
Last post...
how about an orange one
Yes i do agree with multiple colors for volume like say:
Blue for the first 1/3 , green for 2/3, and maybe red for 3/3. orrrr maybe make the bars similar to the cigarette battery icon.... there is the short Cig-butt that might work....i dunno...
and I am REALLY hoping that some guru out there is makin a proggy to change the icons of the XMB and even maybe the sub-menu icons? that would be the shiz!!!!
I meant to say for the XMB on 3.10OE-A' firmware
Look at my above reply to "death" about 5 posts up as I explain why different colors isn't possible using this method.
how do you put it on ?(which file does it go in?)
plz
Where can I get that redish-black background? Also, what's that wave called in the custom pack?
there is a thread on the forums at this address:
http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-mods-media-18/t-i-have-figured-out-how-to-change-the-volume-bar-on-psp-95901.html
i didnt know the address wouldnt show here it is again:

f-psp-mods-media-18/
t-i-have-figured-out-
how-to-change-the-volume-bar-on-psp-95901
.html
just copy each line into the address bar
Thanks like the guy said every little step make it even more wicked and diffrent then say from original. Much thanks......
Multi coloUred bar would be ace white at the bottom and red at the top or maybe just darker as it gets louder or just red for the last avs bit.
Again, go up and read my response to death's comment to see why this isn't possible at the moment.
some kid named gh0st made a pinocchio volume bar. i'm using it now, hilarious.
is there a blue wave like the one above?
Indigo.
