DJ Max Portable - Image 1 If you managed to import DJ Max Portable Clazziquai Edition from Korea, and happen to still have a copy of a previous DJ Max game, you might have already tinkered with that disc-link feature. This feature unlocks a couple of new content including the Summer Time Gear. This replaces your life bar to that of a beach girl - the lower your gauge, the lower her clothes drop. Take a peek in the full article for a video.

Here are more screens for the Clazziquai Edition, showing some of the game modes, menu screens, and rhythm gameplay, as well as a trailer straight from Pentavision.

If you think you've got the goods on Pentavision's DJ Max Portable 2, then you're sadly mistaken. Thanks to Hyoung Ju Son, we've found three extremely addicting videos for DJ Max Portable 2, with each video being almost completely flawless.

How flawless, you might ask?

Well, the guy playing in each of our three videos did not miss a single button press. For those people who already want to break their PSPs because of the immense difficulty of the game, you may not want to see this because it makes perfection look so easy.

Still, if you want to give it a try, go ahead. Just don't say we didn't warn you. Enjoy the vids folks, and let us know how well you do with the game.

The above is what happens when people get frustrated with their games. We, however, didn't expect that sort of reaction from someone playing a game's DEMO.

PSP Fanboy reports of a new goings-on on the PlayStation forums. Apparently, one PlayStation forumgoer got so annoyed with Pentavision's DJ Max Portable 2 demo that all hell broke lose and he ended up wrecking his PSP in frustration. Strangely enough, it makes for one hell of a PR statement. Where else can you get the opportunity to say, "DJ Max Portable 2. So leet it makes fanboys cry?"

Our condolences to ooH wEe iTs jAN's PSP, however. It may have been his fault, but the game certainly deserves a thrashing of its own from really good Korean dancers... or the leetest of PSP Revolution fans. Speaking of which, why not try it out for yourself?

DJ Max Portable 2 NV Rangers ain't happy with happy couples - Image 1

How do you spice up the promotion for South Korea's hottest pop music game, DJ Max Portable 2? Not that Pentavision's having any difficulty marketing this hip PSP title. But still, there can never be enough good gimmicks to help out with the marketing, right?

In South Korea, subway advertisements are apparently not hip enough to suit Pentavision's taste. Hence, they unleash their -- er -- Power Rangers. The sentai group was out wreaking marketing havoc throughout Seoul's streets, interacting with people, and basically doing some fantabulous PR stunts like gamely posing for pictures with pedestrians, tourists and whatnots.

Oddly enough, though, the group seemed to enjoy "hassling" couples. Reportedly, the "Rangers" are called NB Rangers in the game and they are all single men. Hmmm... could there be an underlying plot to disturb happy relationships by single men who are unlucky enough to find their own dates, hence they stick together and formed a color-coded group? Do we sense bitterness here? And what's up with their "anti-Xbox 360" warnings?

We'll be sure to investigate for any dodgy subconscious musical messages aboard DJ Max Portable 2.

Pentavision's DJ Max Portable 2 has been out since last week, but since there's still no news of it being brought over to these shores, we're going to have to content ourselves with these videos for now, courtesy of the guys at Siliconera.

We've already mentioned in earlier posts that the special limited edition versions of DJ Max Portable 2 have English instructions and manuals, but if you're looking for even more proof that this title is really import-friendly, check out the videos below. The game's menus, functions, etc. are actually in English! Heck, you can't get much more import-friendly than that.

Here are the videos. The first one is the game's promotional trailer. The second shows some gameplay, and the third features the OST feature demo (the one with the English menu). Check 'em out.

Two more videos after the jump!

Sales report for DJ Max Portable 2 - Image 1

Korea's gaming community has had its groove moving since of March 30 when Pentavision's DJ Max Portable 2 game for the PSP was released into retail. DJ Max 2 is reportedly enjoying strong sales, as it takes the number one spot at thisisgame.com's sales charts. One other game that seems to be enjoying this success is DJ Max 2's previous installment, DJ Max Portable.

We don't have exact numbers for DJ Max Portable 2's sales, unfortunately (Babelfish refuses to translate the site), although PSP-Vault estimates that 200,000 copies of the game were sold over the weekend, with sales expected to rise up to 300,000 at the end of the week. DJ Max Portable 2 is further expected to break the 500,000 soon. If these estimate proves to be accurate, the game will be enjoying similar success as other previous PSP games, such as Monster Hunter Freedom 2, which has achieved platinum status in Japan.

Sadly, there are no updates confirming if DJ Max 2 is to be set for a North American release, although the game's limited edition packs carried options for an English interface. Stay tuned in case the game's success convinces Pentavision to send it over to our territory.

UPDATE: One of our commenters, xnjcx2008, has just provided us with the translation for the Korean top 10 chart that we have up there, and so what's currently popular in Korea is finally revealed to us.
  • DJ Max Portable 2
  • Lumines 2
  • Killzone Liberation
  • Metal Slug
  • Winning Eleven 10
  • Ace Combat X
  • some english learning program I think :P
  • DJ Max Portable 1
  • Monster Hunters Portable 2
  • Tales of Destiny 2
Thank you so much, xnjcx2008! :)
