Visit our forums often? If not, you should. Flai, from our forums, has started a Daedalus compatibility list, with new contributions every hour. Not sure if you're favorite game is playable, or will even load? Check there. Daedalus, being open source, will improve quickly. The community can step up to produce mods and variations, unnoficial updates, and fixes. So we should see an increase in compatibility, as well as an increase in speed and stability. This thread (14 pages already!) already is a good start towards helping devs, and can be more useful than you think! Go there and post your findings, or browse our other forums and threads here! Thanks to LaMa for the icon, and to Flai for the thread!

 » Just another attempt...

Just another attempt by pspupdates to make themselves look like this program was released here by someone in house. PSPUpdates has nothing to do with any program released and all they do is bank the money from the people who fall into their trap. PSPUpdates = Conspiracy 101

Bugger off before its done for you.

What is going on with news like this hitting the front page? Yeah, you have forums... This is the frontpage news in the last 24 hours to reference to a thread made in the forums that does not implicate real NEWS as it is not NEW. I'm sure there is a compatibility thread. There is probably one on every psp site that declared this as news! PSPUpdates used to be at least good at giving out real news. Today its all about them. Check out this text file that came straight out of the ftpc99b download from the site:

This file was downloaded from http://www.pspupdates.com

For full information on how to use this file, please visit www.pspupdates.com and be sure to _search_ our forums.

For the Ultimate PSP one stop site, http://www.pspupdates.com. You will not find a better, more comprehensive source.. anywhere.

No one thinks PSPUpdates uses people releases to promote themselves? I call BS. Now lets get some real news.

#5 - Inserting files like that into downloads is not currently a policy for this website. If you have found such an addition, it was either added a long time ago (If it were recent, the URL we'd use is pspupdates.qj.net ;) ), or was added against our knowledge by a blogger.

Either way, please feel free to email contact@qj.net the URL's to any downloads which contain files like this, as we do not endorse such an action.

 » Thanks

Thanks, I'll tell you if I find anymore. I don't mind pspupdates advertising and stuff as it is a good site. I really care more that pspupdates mantains its QoS for posting real news. Anyone that wanted this info would have gone into the forums and found it themselves. It pains me to see some of these tutorials which actually invented something not be in the news, but stuff like compatibility lists and explanations that you would expect to be in the forums does not. I worry that the news team isn't even reading through the threads, but rather looking at title of the thread or its post reply count for a new program release or at the reply number to report on what is popular. The new stuff just gets buried under the piles of plain stupid stuff such as "You think SONY got their people running Eloader LOL" or "Can we emulate DS".

» Whats the problem to have a news about this?

Think we all have notice this EMU really has a big interest here, but I dont think everybody checking out the forum (for instance, me). This is a good draw so people that wonder how the roms working can check it out, so they dont have to ask around which just take time and space.

   by Jabberwocky (Unregistered) - 2006-05-03
 » Working roms (somewhat)

I know that some would rather I post this in the forums, but hey I forgot my account info ;-) :D...lol

Assuming that if the roms opens at all (whether it's purplish or has semi recognizable graphics :P) the following roms were tested on my 2.6 using the wifi bocks eloader :

Forsaken - Works , but slow and purplish
Castlevania - Works, a lil faster but still oh so purply :P
Banjo-Kazooie - Works, purple with a little bit of graphic
Armymen 2: Sarge's Heros - Works with mixed up graphics ( best rom so far )

Roms that made my PSP shut off:
Wipeout 64
Gex 64 - Enter the Gecko
Gex - Deep undercover Gecko

That's it for now, will post again when I get more :D

 » i can't post on forums

and i am not going to bother trying, i just thought i'd add the one piece of info which really helped me the other day:

someone in the comments said that rom loading was sped up massively by downloading 'tool64' and running the byte reordering thing, making them 'little endian'. then the roms have to be '.v64' files.... it works well. thought i'd reiterate for those who missed it.

» LOL@PPL who think this is bs..

Um... who are you to tell them hwo to run thier page? Come on. This isnt a democracy. It's theirs. If they wanted to post news about how big their $%&#$& was. more power to them. I'd do the unthinkable....

SCROLL PAST THE ARTICLE. Lol.... coem on, quit being douchebags and ranting just to rant. Want somethign to rant about? go blog about how daddy never hugged you enough.

 » @2

Their are about three other compatability threads on other sites foe this emu. So by your logic they are also tring to claim that it is their release. If you don't like the forums don't visit them. I like it because they're alot of games for the N64 and for one person to try them all would be very hard.

» No games work nicely.. yet

To #13:

No games work perfectly and I doubt any will make it past the 15 fps mark. There are a lot of obstacles but hopefully the developers can improve.

But the bottom line is it will never run perfectly. People who believe it will are only fooling themselves.

I'll be happy though with 15 fps and no sound because it's better than nothing and I like seeing the looks on people's faces when they see me playing Mario Kart on my PSP. :)

"22. » Copyright it!

Sony would be better off pissing in Satoru Iwata's face whilst trashing Nintendo HQ. It'd be more fun and they'd probably get sued for just as much.

 » Problem?

The problem with this type of news is that all it is is another advertisement, this time for the forums. Anyone who has ever been on any internet site looking for help before knows that you look in the forums. It stands to be common sense that people would expect and look in the forums for posts such as a tvsp guide or a compatibility THREAD for duadalus. This also did not uncover anything new as we already knew that N64 games may work for an N64 emulator. Thats why we go to the forums to talk about it and not the comments section... No kidding the site isn't a democracry, but it is fanbased and for good reason. The more people like it, the more hits the site receives, and the more the owner makes money off of ads, etc. Anyway, I'm not the person who made comment #2 and commented only to show what I had seen. I was just disturbed by the two news sections within 24 hours on regular forum threads instead of coming up with things people that visit the site looking for regularly wouldn't have normally seen. PSPUpdates seems to be doing much better today! Thanks!

 » Seriously?

Why are so many people maoning about my thread? Does it really bother you that much? Get a life people, really. If someone thinks it is worthwhile to post something like this to help people then let them and stop your pathetic *****ing. Just shut up and let me have my moment ok?

 » WOW

Y do they even bother to update this emulator its impossible for psp to ever run a game like mario 64 at full speed.

 » Never say never....

What did I say. Remember when some said thyz emu would never run close to what its running now... Nothing is impossible. Its just gonna get better and better. Shoot im mean if sony can create a playstation emu, what makes you think we cant. We have hackers just as good as the creaters are, just without 100% knolledge and all tha equiptment and look what weve accomplished over tha years in hacking period...................Keep up tha good work.
