With the fix in place SSB is running at around 30-40fps in game on the PSP, which is very exciting. |

damn you people are immature.
and if you dont like what the story is about then dont *****ing read it!
Jeeeez guys! Get a life, this is interesting news, if you're so interested in using the product, then take the time to read fix releases, or any other notes written by the developer about the product. Stop being selfish and grow up, Strmn Nrmn has obviously been working hard to find the bug and fix it for all of you ungrateful little people, the least you could do is be thankful, or atleast curtious.

30-40 FPS on a PSP n64 emulator? OMG!!!!
WIND!!!
30-40 fps?! if its actually true, thats incredible news.
Yeah! That's what we were all waiting for from the release of Monkey64! SSB is one of my all-time faves as well - so this will be awesome!
I really cannot wait for this to be released. But, i also have other requests. How about making a "ad-hoc" mode for people to play w/ each other. This would make it so much more fun rather than playing SSB against the computer. This is BY FAR my favorite homebrew app. and i think that this little feature would make it even more enjoyable. Also, when StrmnNrmn gets goldeneye running faster, that would be really fun with friends and/or relatives. But before he gets multiplayer, i would rather see an increase in compatibility and speed. Then add those little extras.
try posting this in strmnnrmn's blog, mabye he'll actually read it
its me again....and if i had a blogspot name or gmail adress or w/e u need i would post on his blog...if anyone wants to post this idea that would be awesome...btw keep replying... i rele want to see what others think of this idea; i dont want to beg if im the only one who rele wants this...post ur opinion here!!
i,m so freaken happy, this means it could be playabel. !!!!!! :)
WATER!
FART!
Ok not just to take a shot at Idea above me but people, some games are just now reaching a playable level with few or minor visual glitches. An you want Adhoc or infustructure play. Let him get most games, if not all of them running at lets say a steady 40 frames before he even considers putting online play in. That would just take up more proccesing power and ram. Slowing the games down unless he finds a way around this. So drop the subject for now, he has probably seen this idea a hundred times. But he has been making a lot of progress i could see the posibility of limited netwprking capabilities for some games, by November or december at the rate he has been going. At the latest the first 4 months of next year sometime. Or he may never put it into the emu because he doesnt know how (chances are he does). If this happens someone will mod it an post it on the net with his capabilitie.
StrmnNrmn.. hes a hero... gonna bring pollution DOWN TO ZERO!
this seems very exciting, i agree that if he can implement multiplayer of some sort, this could turn to be the best, if not already the best homebrew app in psp history. Oh man, just thinkin about online goldeneye or perfect dark , or even mario kart is makin me shake. LMAO we'll b playin online mario kart just like the DS people!! hahahahah great work!
That would be awesome, but as the guy two above you said, he'll need to get those games running at a steady 30-40 fps before he gets any sort of wireless in.
yeah thats cool but we -20fps away.
No, the N64 is 50 FPS max but most games even on the N64 ran between 30-40 fps. As long as the game is over 24 fps which is a motion picture it will be playable +) Hopefully it will be about 24 fps with sound
lfy is correct. plus with the motion blur on the psp screen 30 frames would be more then needed.
SSB is one of my favorite games ever. If I can play it on a handheld at full speed, I will be one happy gamer. Thank you StrmnNrmn!
30-40 fps? I really doubt that. Mario 64 only runs at 18 in many parts of the game.
Mario 64 is more graphically intensive than Smash. For example, look closely at SSB's characters; they have very simple geometry compared to the N64 titles they come from. I doubt that their levels have nearly as many polygons as Mario's levels either. Additionally, you'll notice that SSB uses many two-dimensional sprites. All of this amounts to far less strain on the RAM and processing power.
Besides, I doubt StrmnNrmn, the emulator's sole programmer, would lie!
^
what that guy said
Once again Strangler got pwned. Lmao. Always.
You'll find that most games only require 30FPS.
(which is brilliant enough).
Try converting a movie/game video to
25FPS and you'll see that there isn't much difference
between 25FPS and 60FPS..
If the game did run at full speed though [60FPS],
then it should cut down on loading times or lag.

How is that game looking for the new release?
ok u know a coupel releases back u released the spiff update, well when r12 comes out will the spiff make r12 work even better? or could i just put r12 and with or with out the spiff update will it work the same????
What's the status on Daedalus now? I haven't kept up with it. Are there any games that are playable right now? I consider playable to be 25 FPS without sound, unless it's a game that requires sound for you to know what to do.
mario64 plays fairly well with sound on r11 and frameskips. It may means 30 FPS WITH SOUND! He should hurry and release it soon.
nice :D keep up the good work :)

good times, good times..... too bad im too old to be playin that ***** during class.....
whats even sadder is pple in my senior class r playin the new *****ing pokemon on their DS , havin a mini LAN party seriously WTF???
I would love to play pokemon snap on the go, perfect, jump in snap some shots of meowth banging jessie behind the snorlax, memories indeed. great fun. id also like to play conkers bad fur day, and pilot wings, and blast corps, and stadium would be like the new pokemon games from ds, but with *****en 3D models...etc etc etc, shutting up.
StrmnNrmn fantastic work guy!
If you're too old for video games then go outside and get to work, and get off the internet forever, because you're certainly too old for that too.
dude i was jokin and dude... when ur a senior u still have to time to play games.... and i dont play consoles just my psp and pc/laptop... i dont play pokemon much anymore even tho a lot of pple in my senior class like to... i dont... just cant get into it again
i just play mario just like old times.... btw every1 uses internet.... i DO work.... when ur a senior u cant get a full time job so stfu!!!
btw i said im too old to be playin pokemon i mean its been over 10 yrs and no one in senior class should be playing it except for humor.... if i were to play it again its to reminisce (sp?) or to laugh at it
no matter wat age i am , i think im old enough to play video games.... but pokemon.... its pretty elementary and well... cant see myself playin it....
