Bye, scene. I've decided to cease OE development, and leave PSP scene. The reasons are various. One of them is the time it consumes, which I'm losing from other things. The other is related to my security. I didn't like Sony menaces to PS3 hackers. I think it is better to leave now rather than end paying the consequences. |

We still need a 3.50/3.51 OE firmware at some point though, since some future PSP titles NEED it to run (i.e. God of War, etc). I really hope he's given someone else he knows the tools and know-how to keep it going.

Guys Dark AleX did do alot for the homebrew scene but the fact is that there are more people on the scene. Dark AleX's reasons for leaving (be it action from Sony or working for them) should not matter. His time in the spotlight is over and now someone else has a chance to step up and be the guy.

You People Can Give your sympathy, But now were all stuck on the current firmware and cant upgrade to play games like god of war cuz of the stupid things like sony patching so if you downgrade you cant upgrade to 3.30 or higher.P.S. My freind said ur an assmonkey.....*****

Sony included ISO loaders on the Official 3.5x firmwares. if DAX make an OE firmware maker, his ISO loader will be violating the patent on the Original firmware. he may only op to hack the ISO loader on the firmware via his OE maker but that will take quite a lot of work/time, and Sony may also find a loophole to sue DAX on the said processes. dont worry folk DAX may eventually come back when Thought of a way to circumvent a checks to pin him.

I have been sensing that something BIG was about to partake, so this news doesn't come of a surprise to me.
ISO loaders on official Sony FWs?
That ALONE should indicate Sony is up to something MAJOR.
Let me 1st make things CLEAR for those un-grateful retards.
1) STOP BEGGING DA TO COME BACK!
2) STOP HERRASING THE POOR GUY JUST BECAUSE HE HAS OBVIOUSLY HAVE A GOOD (PRIVATE) REASONS WHY HE CHOSE TO LEAVE.
3) QUIT B!TCHING TO EACH OTHER HOPPING FOR SOMEONE TO COME UP WITH A 'QUICK FIX' FOR THIS SITUATION. (AS MOST PEOPLE IN THIS SCENE TEND TO ALWAYS RELY ON)
If this news if true, then I suggest you accept it. End of story.
There are ALOT of positive things that can come up in the near future if this rumor is valid, FW hacking is renowned WORLDWIDE and I alone know that DA is NOT the only one that can penetrate Sony's FW securities.
There will ALWAYS BE SOMEONE TO step up next and continue this line of work.
It's like taking a drug lord out, next few minutes/days/weeks there's another replacing it.
PLUS, DA didn't encrypt his work in a HIGHLY strict fashion.
DA DOESN'T NEED TO RELEASE HIS SOURCES TO ANYONE BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT THIS IS PART OF WHAT EVER REASON HE'S LEAVING.
DA has GAINED RESPECTS INTERNATIONALLY, I'm certain he has something planned it the future of his legacy. (CFW wise...)
Let me put it this way...
Put yourself in his situation.
If Sony offers you a financial reimbursement to stop the CFW releases, would you?
I'm sure ANY AMOUNT WOULDN'T EVEN come CLOSE to what he will be getting in the end if he continues. We all know for a certain that this guy can make it BIG TIME if he was to charge people for each copy. So there's always another option for him if Sony did attempt to bribe him. (And only a fool would say yes to something incredibly that low)
Now as for a job offer that Sony had 'rumored' tempted him with.
Possible, but like above. If you were DA and offered to work for Sony LTD, what intentions are you most likely to make? I shall put myself in this situation and give a brief eg.
I will accept this offer and LEARN all the SECRETS that the PSP+MORE have to offer and as soon as I have it, I shall then LEAVE and CREATE SOMETHING MONUMENTALLY HUGE that the entire universe will remember forever.
Now do you still think Sony will offer someone a position that has been their GREATEST nemesis since the beginning?
PSP hacking will ALWAYS continue no matter what Sony attempts. But we should all LEARN AND UNDERSTAND that all great hackers/coders/etc... needs more than 'Thanks/well done/good job now days. So I say this AGAIN. If you are a CFW OE user(s) PAY your respects PROPERLY. (I mean that literally!)
Stop expecting OE releases to be greater and greater without you supporting this project with a single cent!
For those who have taken the liberty, but have the audacity to boast about it like he gave a million bucks. Do yourself a favor and boast only as much as you gave.
If this rumor is true, then I URGE you ALL to make a FINAL peace offer to the GREAT man who gave you all his heart and sweat and (not to mention COUNTLESS OF HOURS) to make your PSP gaming experience fantasy a REALITY! (Because I and MANY of my colleagues SURE WILL)

That ALONE should indicate Sony is up to something MAJOR.
Let me 1st make things CLEAR for those un-grateful retards.
1) STOP BEGGING DA TO COME BACK!
2) STOP HERRASING THE POOR GUY JUST BECAUSE HE HAS OBVIOUSLY HAVE A GOOD (PRIVATE) REASONS WHY HE CHOSE TO LEAVE.
3) QUIT B!TCHING TO EACH OTHER HOPPING FOR SOMEONE TO COME UP WITH A 'QUICK FIX' FOR THIS SITUATION. (AS MOST PEOPLE IN THIS SCENE TEND TO ALWAYS RELY ON)
If this news if true, then I suggest you accept it. End of story.
There are ALOT of positive things that can come up in the near future if this rumor is valid, FW hacking is renowned WORLDWIDE and I alone know that DA is NOT the only one that can penetrate Sony's FW securities.
There will ALWAYS BE SOMEONE TO step up next and continue this line of work.
It's like taking a drug lord out, next few minutes/days/weeks there's another replacing it.
PLUS, DA didn't encrypt his work in a HIGHLY strict fashion.
DA DOESN'T NEED TO RELEASE HIS SOURCES TO ANYONE BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW THAT THIS IS PART OF WHAT EVER REASON HE'S LEAVING.
DA has GAINED RESPECTS INTERNATIONALLY, I'm certain he has something planned it the future of his legacy. (CFW wise...)

If Sony offers you a financial reimbursement to stop the CFW releases, would you?
I'm sure ANY AMOUNT WOULDN'T EVEN come CLOSE to what he will be getting in the end if he continues. We all know for a certain that this guy can make it BIG TIME if he was to charge people for each copy. So there's always another option for him if Sony did attempt to bribe him. (And only a fool would say yes to something incredibly that low)
Now as for a job offer that Sony had 'rumored' tempted him with.
Possible, but like above. If you were DA and offered to work for Sony LTD, what intentions are you most likely to make? I shall put myself in this situation and give a brief eg.
I will accept this offer and LEARN all the SECRETS that the PSP+MORE have to offer and as soon as I have it, I shall then LEAVE and CREATE SOMETHING MONUMENTALLY HUGE that the entire universe will remember forever.
Now do you still think Sony will offer someone a position that has been their GREATEST nemesis since the beginning?
PSP hacking will ALWAYS continue no matter what Sony attempts. But we should all LEARN AND UNDERSTAND that all great hackers/coders/etc... needs more than 'Thanks/well done/good job now days. So I say this AGAIN. If you are a CFW OE user(s) PAY your respects PROPERLY. (I mean that literally!)

Sony would only hire him if they could tie him in there basement, and force him to work. They would never trust a hacker(a very talented hacker). You all should thank the man and load up 3.40 or write ivcs that can decode layers and improve on what hundreds of engineers have written. Sony would only hire him if they could tie him in there basement, and force him to work. They would never trust a hacker(a very talented hacker). You all should thank the man and load up 3.40 or write ivcs that can decode layers and improve on what hundreds of engineers have written. surely sony's psp scene will now suffer and i think the lack of You being in the scene will terminate the end of the psp hacking "war".
It has truly been a historic story, the ups'n'downs (or should i say upgrades and downgrades) of the sony vs the homebrewers.
you will never be replaced, but someone may be inspired by your actions.
