I've lost two family members this year because of cancer, one of them last week, and the LAST THING my family need are legal problems because of the confusion generated by that son of a ***** of dark-alex.com. PSP programming and reverse engineering used to be fun. It was a hobby that distracted my mind of the darkness of life, it was funny to understand the code of an operating system made by a big company. |

Hey man, just wanted to say thx so much for everything you've done for the PSP Homebrew scene. I'm relatively new, but was able to jump right in with no trouble thx in a large part to your programs. You've definitely done this community a great favor and for your contributions, I thank you. As far as your personal problems go, I'm really sorry to hear that. It's never easy to lose someone, especially two people in the same year. I know I don't know you personally at all or anything, but for what its worth I want you to know that I sympathize with you and I'll keep you in my prayers. As far as the fake D-A.com goes, that's just bull*****. I can't believe some ***** would go to the trouble of creating a website and writing programs with the sole purpose of destroying PSP's, as well as your reputation. I don't know if he was being paid by Sony, or what, but you've also provided his email, so I'm trying to think of as many illegal and spam lists I can get his email on. Regardless, don't let it get you down. That's only one dude, the rest of the homebrew community is behind you and supports you all the way. As much publicity as this has got, I don't see how it can really come back on you, but I definitely understand your caution. If you were already considering giving this stuff a break, I can definitely understand, but don't give it all up just b/c of one douche bag. Regardless, I understand your need for a break, or even calling it quits for good. No matter how deep we go into the PSP scene, its still just a hobby, and there are far more important things in life than a hobby. Whether or not you continue to code, feel free to stay involved, or at least drop by and say hey every one in awhile. DA I feel your pain... I too have just lost family members. One piece of advice I can offer is to find something that helps take you mind off the pain.
You never let the man (sony) get you down... dont let stupid time wasters who cause trouble ruin your life.
You are quite simply the PSP king at this time and although supporters come and go and internet communities are fickle the name Dark Alex will be in everyones heads for quite some time to come...

if you read this, it would be a pitty loosing you in the scene. I like your work very much, andbe sure, that we are all behind you. You'r personal losses nobody is able to cover, only thing to say, i feel sorry for that. Take you time buddy, breath deeply and come back relaxed. Never let such a ***** destroy what you did so far.. It would be a great loss for the Scene and a hughe win for Sony, we all appriciate your time and your effort's. pls keep up the good work Alex.

Yes, cancer sucks! I almost lost my dad to lymphoma 2 years ago and it's all because of this toxic world we live in. It sucks! I know!

Everyone would have 10 times the love for you that they already do. I don't really think anyone else has the same capacity as you to come up with all these hacks as quickly as you did. I've lost both of my grandfathers to cancer already, and expecting two more family members to die from it soon too. I understand how something like that can get you down. But if you don't continue your hobbies, you will only go into a deeper depression and when you're in your older years, you won't have much to hang on to. And perhaps you will die sooner than you should. Remember that saying from the movie "Joe Dirt". When Joe Dirt told his Indian friend to "Keep on keepin' on". And you should do the same, don't ever let go of all your hobbies. Whether it be the Hombrew scene, or whatever else it is that you do.

I lost a close family member because of cancer 6 months ago and I really understand hoe you feel.
In that time my PSP was (and is) a really good friend to get my mind a little away and think of something else. I understand that your programming for the PSP did the same for you.
If you liked D_A's work maybe you can give some money to an anti-cancer foundation in your country. In this way we all can give D_A the support he earns and fight against cancer too.....
Again, my deepest respect for your work for the PSP and even for your decission, but I hope it will only be a pause, and not a goodbye forever.
