shows up as corrupted for me when i put it in ms0:/PSP/UPDATE/
the instructions on this site are wrong, it has to be in a folder OTHER THAN "UPDATE" :-p
should be PSP/GAME/UPDATE
and put update1.5 in root, rename to 150.PBP
unless its already named that o_O
for all that get corrupted icon, put 1.50eboot into root of memory stick and name 150.pbp. instead of putting the update folder in psp/game put it in your 3.80 folder. it should appear and follow instructions after that. hope that helps.
i havnt dont it yet,
i just replied with what was stated above..
damn, shouldnt have trusted qj ;]
x:/PSP/GAME380/UPDATE
try refreshing your page. the correct instruction should be there already
can anyone access their 4gb memory stick? some people couldnt with the 3.80 m33... or any problems with the new update?
I updated my CFW to 3.80 M33, but now i can't access my games folder on my 4gb + 1gb ms.
How do i downgrade back to 3.71 M33?
Something tells me you guys who can't see your games FORGOT TO RENAME GAME371 TO GAME380.
You will see corrupted data if the folder is named update. I changed my folder name to YOHOMEY and it worked fine....seriously, just change it to somethign besides update.
the instructions have been updated with the correct one. you guys beat us to the punch. try refreshing the site. it should be there. =)
@all
for those who has problems recognizing update eboots. just rename it to 380,150,352 etc without .PBP ( e.g "380") WITHOUT QUOTES.
Thanks!
In the instructions you say
Move the UPDATE directory to /PSP/GAME/
I would assume that after most people installed the firmware, they deleted/removed this folder, what would be the point of keeping it on the MS. Maybe your instructions should take this into considerations.
I just think your instructions should be more bullet-proof for those people who are less adept.
B.T.W. Thanks once again DA for the hard work you do!
i downloaded this from the DAX website a few hours ago and just dumped it on my MS in the UPDATE folder under GAME, ran it and all is fine! time baby works, pspcomic works...
I didn't need the 150.PBP...
to QJ.net: i also sent you guys a mail about the release, since it wasn't on QJ then (about 4 hours ago), would've like to see my name with the tipsters, better luck next time i guess
and to DAX and team m33 ofcourse, thx for a great release.
1.50.PBP was already in root of memorystick
:D This is awesome. Kernel 1.50 released already! ^^ Going to update right now.
tis was easy update idk why so many people were confused instructions was very simple ty dax
I think its weird that you call the directory anything but update cause its usually update, cant see why it should be.
but some psx games I can't run. I cannot run Resident Evil 2 past the police station anymore. The screen just goes black. I even changed the game id.
Perhaps your version of the game's corrupt. I have Resident Evil 2 and it worked just fine, even before this CFW was released. If you have the disk yourself, why not try making a homebrew?
so your playing your RE2 perfectly? your on 3.08 ryt?? whats psp do you have, a slim or a phat..
is anyone able to access their 4gb memory sick with 3.80 150 kernel because some people weren't able to with 3.80 m33?
DONT Label (VolumeLabel) the Memory Stick.
connect your PSP to the PC, rightclick on MemoryStick -> Properties -> The Namefield MUST be blank!!!. Then the stick will work
i was able to and it works fine
For some reason I found on the two phat units I flashed yesterday to 3.80m33 that all of the data on the cards seemed to be missing when viewed through the PSP. I corrected this minor issue by copying the data off of the PSP's in Windows, then formatting the memory sticks using the PSP and copying the data back. Odd but livable.
Thanks for the new FW DAX!
I havent had any problems with my 4gb stick with or with out the 150 kernel
I like to know what is new about this FW i'm on 3.71m33-4 do i really need to upgrade ?
for those having a problem in 3.80 that is who cant see their homebrw on the game just rename your game folder from game371 to game 380 that all you will be able to view all your homebrew and istall add on kernal
Was it necessary to repeat what I said, six hours later?
DGEN doesnt work for 3.80 m33 with the 150 kernel but R13 does.
it works for me!
redownload it!
I tried it and it's too buggy for me. I'm sticking with 3.52 M33-4.
DAX Rocks!
where does 150.PBP go
the memory stick's root.
Wait, what do they mean by "copy it to the root?" Which root? The memory stick's root?, or the root of the folder you just created? help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
ok so you put the UPDATE folder from the kernal and put it in a folder called GAME150
PSP/GAME150/UPDATE
if you do not have a folder called this make one but make it beside the other game folder
ok so you put the UPDATE folder from the kernal and put it in a folder called GAME150
PSP/GAME150/UPDATE

i put it in x:/psp/game380/update
Can someone list me some reasons why I should upgrade from 3.71 M33 to 3.80 M33?
bcz its the new CFW??? heheh..
Well 3.80 has an internet radio and for me I can now remote play with my ps3 again..... TY DAX !!!!
I do however have a question:
I want to reinstall 3.80-M33 , I have it installed right now but with the 1.50 kernel addon.. would it be better to use pandora and drop to 3.71m33 then back up to 3.80m33?
I want the Location Free Player feature back and I realized the I don't really use the 1.50 kernel that much.
could i just rerun DAX's 3.80 M33?
guess I could try it but I'd rather hear what the gurus have to say......
so, if you don't have 1.50 kernel installed locationfree is still there? did you try out locationfree before you installed the 1.50 kernel?
i am using 3.71m33-4 firmware i have a few iso games that i can't get on my memory stick and i would like to play my games via usb but when i try to get the right plugins and stuff to do it its for an older firmware can someone please help me on how to get this to work on this firmware if at all possible please it would be a great help
If you have 3.71m33-4 then you are in luck because you can use the UsbHost function on iR Shell, which will let you access files through a usb cable I believe
www.irshell.org has guides for the program
My PSP is now the best it's ever been. Thanks, Dark Alex.
there is a new update on dax's page: 380m33_3
Ok, so I pressed "cross" when it tells me to and after a few seconds, it says...
Cannot decrypt updater prx.
Anyone got any idea why this happened?
