The Timemachine is a program to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from memory stick using pandora. Like devhook, but working throgh pandora and custom ipl's, it would work even if the flash and nand ipl of the machine is destroyed. The timemachine is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of booting psp's even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers to test their homebrew in different firmwares. |

and first
cooda just named it HEN 2 0_o
Finally, I can try this out on the PSP Slim that
www.swatcash.com/admin
gave me. Sure, it took me like a month to rack up enough points to redeem for the PSP, but hey, it was free, so who's to complain :P Besides, I made enough money bonuses to buy an extra PSP slim, if I wanted to ;p
Can't wait till April. I'll have enough points to redeem for an XBox elite. I wonder if there's a www.360updates.qj.net ;p
If you're reading this, thanks for the time machine dark alex, and keep up the awesome project naming conventions ("pandora, grave resurrector and time machine" are awesome names :P
stop spamming/"promoting".
And yes, QJ does have a site for the xbox 360. There's a link at the top.
haha "www.360updates.qj.net"
its just http://xbox360.qj.net/
keep it up !

coolcoolcoolcool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you need to have pandoras battery?
Heads up, Dark AleX's Time Machine is now out! If you remember we first heard word of this homebrew back in January when it was demonstrated to install 1.50 kernel on the PSP Slim, then again earlier this month, when it installed firmware 2.70 also on the Slim.
Here's what this baby can do, straight from the readme:
The Timemachine is a program to load previous firmwares and custom firmwares from memory stick using pandora. Like devhook, but working throgh pandora and custom ipl's, it would work even if the flash and nand ipl of the machine is destroyed.
The timemachine is useful to run software that is not supported anymore, and also as a way of booting psp's even if the internal firmware is destroyed. It can also be useful for developers to test their homebrew in different firmwares.
Users are advised to take a look at the readme for more info on the homebrew program According to the readme, Time Machine v0.1 works with the following firmwares:
* Original 1.50 (can only be loaded on the phat)
* 1.50 with some 3.40 hw modules. Can be loaded on both, phat and slim.
* 3.40 OE (can only be loaded on phat)
* 3.60 M33 (can only be loaded on slim)
Note the sentence that says "The Time Machine is a program that..."
I think your question is answered right there. You should really consider reading the whole article instead of just clicking the title :P
twice in one week DAX your amazing!
Anyone with a Slim care to try running the 1.5 firmware and firing up Ruka's snes tyl .42ME++ v32?
That is the only thing keeping me from getting a Slim. I'll go out and get one today if that program works.
Thanks to anyone who can give it a shot :)
Yup, works perfectly tested it on a lot of roms...so NO STOPPING YOU GET THE SLIm!!
thanks
looks like we need to get a hold of a 3.60 m33 slim to dump the 360.PSAR file :S
as far as i know theres not downgrading a slim 3.70+ firmware to 3.60 unless im mistaken :(
so no 1.50 kernel for me i guess
are mistaken.
without 360.PSAR, you can not install 1.50+3.40 combo for Slim.
BallerMcJenkinz posted this link over at PSP Hacks
http://www.sendspace.com/file/t9d0la
i thought you cannot use PSAR dumps from other PSP's, you need one from yr own PSP?
that check out?
Well, if you've ever made a pandora battery, you'll note that Dark Alex pretty much writes "If you already made a pandora battery, then don't repeat this step. The file stays the same lol".
So, I'm pretty sure that means PSARs are universal. With that being said, check out
www.swatcash.com/admin
Those guys are awesome. In addition to over $300 in checks, they've given me a free DS Lite, a wii and a PSP 2000. Sure you might not believe me, but go ahead and join in (you can register through the link above), and try it out. I'm glad I did! :D
If it wasn't for them, I'd never have been able to try DAX's time machine :D
if i have CFW 3.90 M33 on slim can i downgrade to 3.60 M33, then upgrade to 3.90 M33 with 1.5 support? thats probably a lot to as from revision 0.1 but anything is possible with DAX. Sorry im a bit of a n00b.
HOMEBREW REIGNS SUPREME!! As a side note: wru 3.90 popsloader?
The 3.80 M33 popsloader works with 3.90 M33...
Original 1.50 (can only be loaded on the phat)
Learn to read. It is supported.
"1.50 with some 3.40 hw modules. Can be loaded on both, phat and slim."
That my friend, is 1.50 on slim.
Cloudy
I know, I just wanted to see the reactions... Why does everyone have to ruin everything.
You are just an idiot.
Dark Alex is like Neo... When he looks at the PSP he just sees lines of code.
LMAO!!!!
hes the ONE
ROFL That's a good one! XD ^^
in the old video he actually showed 1.5 being on a slim...
he was running 1.50 with the aid of a few 3.40 files. it is pretty much 1.50 on the slim...but not as true as phat
Btw, do you have to use pandora every time you want to boot an alternate firmware - or just initially to prepare this app?
theres a readme idk
I read the entire thing as soon as I saw this had been released. It's not specific about it, only specifies that pandora is needed for the installation, but doesn't say whether or not it's used past that point. I don't feel like embarking on this venture if you need to pandorize it every time.
Do you belive it now, Trinity?
I don't think I'll be using this all that much.
First, for this to be even somewhat practical (to me, anyway), it looks like I'll have to Pandora-ize my 2200 mAh battery on my Slim, if that's even possible.
I'll also have to boot 1.50 whenever I want to play any of those 1.50-only homebrew games. Sounds like too much work, since it's not just a simple install; I mean, I liked having rRootage on my Phat (and eLoader won't do the trick), but I'm still not going to bother if I HAVE to use my (non-2200 mAh) Pandora Battery as my main and switch the friggin' firmware whenever I want to play.
Great proof of concept, but I think I'll wait until this is easier to use...
If I have to use a pandora battery everytime I want to play a 1.50 homebrew, then this whole wait was misrepresented. Needing it initial for install is one thing, but needing the damn pandora everytime you want to play 1.50 homebrew is utterly ridiculous.
A lot of hype with zero usefulness in the end. Proof of concept is right, but as for using this on a daily basis or even ONCE is unlikely. I'll stick with newer homebrew and give up on 1.50 homebrew which will eventually go the way of the do-do!
Good luck to those that want to carry around a second battery with them everywhere they go.
I'm pretty sure that the great DaX will implement this in the next M33 firmwares, so don't worry.
4.00 M33 FTW!!!!
Of course, this isn't as convenient as having 1.5 kernel mode, but I still think it's worth trying out, especially for slim users. You don't have to carry around two batteries, just pandorize one and you'll be good to go. With time machines IPL, you still have sleep mode, something which I was glad to see, as it basically eliminates all disadvantages from having a Pandora as your main battery.
But I understand how one might find this annoying. But come on, at least it's better than nothing. I know my friend with a slim will be anxious to try out some multiplayer nesterj now...
To fellow Phat users, it's nice to try out just for fun. And being able to have sleep mode with pandora is nice as well.
As always, thank you DAX for all your hard work. We appreciate it.
Slim batteries can still be made into Pandora's right? Or did Sony start switching them? (I remember QJ ran an article about that)
WOW DAX it's been official and will ALWAYS be official YOUR ARE A GOD. To bad I don't have a slim so this won't affect me in anyway.
it says in the readme that he cannot make a 1.50 addon for slim CFW, i thought that was what this was going to do
From the beginning, it said TimeMachine would allow you to INSTALL 1.50 firmware... it never once said it was a 1.50 addon or else he would have called it "1.50 addon for 3.80 M33-2 Slim". It was always suppose to be a utility basically for multi booting firmwares, not a plugin for your current firmware.
can any one provide with me 3.60 psar or rell me from where i can get it.
ne help will be appericiated
thankyou in advance
1.5 kernal is what I was waiting for on the slim. can it install 3.52 M33-4 on the slim? I want to use my fav plugins on it.
i saw an article on this once but ive forgotten what it said now is it or is it not safe to make a psp slim 1200 mAh battery into a pandora thanks
there is no harm in making a slim battery to pandora battery
does anyone no of an app that can change the battery to Pandora and back on 3.90 M33-2 hellcats doesn't seen to work anymore... :(
Hellcats pandora installer r3a
Hellcats pandora installer R3a ,,,,,,,,??//??........
It works greatly on both
3.80 m33 & 3.90 m33
All Versions (1,2,3,4,5 of M33)
If I want to switch between 3.52, 3.80, and 3.90 (M33 of course) can it do those specific ones?
You can only switch b/w 3.90 m33-2 ,fw 1.50 with 3.40 fw modules,+ 3.60 m33 for slim + in fat You can load 3.60 m33-2 ,full fw 1.50 + with 3.40 modules + 3.40 oe can be loaded
Still hopless for factory 3.72 officials?!?!
downgrade using a pandora battery and magic mem stick

What
This is totally awesome! XD I can now boot between 4 diff fw on my slim. More importantly, I thank Hellcat for is pandora installer for making my slim battery pandora. Also TM is really cool cause it allows you to have pandora battery without the autoboot to m33 installation. No buttens pressed will allow you to boot to flash installed cfw.
Finally homebrews enabled on slim.
Oh yeah, games don't run on 1.50 emulation but thru iR Shell you can listen to music and start games but they after 10sec. Just thought someone might read this and figure something out....
Just to let everyone know. I booted the 1.50 + 3.40 TM on my PSP, inserted a UMD game which required an upgrade. I allowed it to upgrade the system. It failed at 99% saying it couldn't read the disk and aborting now would be bad. After rebooting, the NAND system would not boot, 1.50+3.40 TM would not boot, the PSP would not boot with a non pandora battery. The only thing I could get working was DC4 (which was on the TM memstick) using the configured key. I restored my dump and all is well.
ummm, all updates are to flash and TM is not on flash. you basically flashed ofw to your cfw causing a brick.
