for those who cant understand the read me.
place the update folder in your game folder
download 1.5 update and rename to 150.eboot and place in root of memory card
excute program*note this will remove the location free player and koren font*
already tested out on all my 1.5 homebrew and works like a charm.
can you make a pandora battery?
You could have mad a pandora batter without the patch, there is already a 3xx pandora creator, also tested it and it works.
But I use my location free player and Korean fonts all the time! [sarcasm]
just wanted to point out, you can already make the pandora battery without the patch, there is already a 3.xx pandora creator out. I've tested it and it works.
hope some people post on this as i have not even installed 3.71m33 yet cuz i wanted to see how this patch worked but either way the scene will miss Dark_Alex.
more than anyone realize's yet.
Nice to see that the thing has finally been released, too bad it's the last release through. Already tested it and it works great with all of my stuff.
As it says in the readme just put your 150 eboot nameb 150.pbp into the root folder of the psp and the UPDATE installed into the GAME folder.
Thanks
Im outa the loop is DAX back!
yes but this is his last release he says
Yes!!!
It turns out M33 was DAX all along.
Thanks DAX!
i really hope this isnt his last. honestly i wont be surprised if dark alex has been training a group or something to take over his work. or maybe he will make another team.
can we use 1.5 themes now or what?
FINALLY NOW I CAN UPGRADE AND STUFF!!!
we cant use 1.5 themes. something with 3.71 makes it so we cant. but hey we got sonys offical themes that dont brick atleast
whats the advantages of this then?
the homebrew?
Themes have nothing to do with 1.5 firmware. Themes depends on a few plugins of the target firmware.... that's the reason we have themes targeting 3.30OE, 3.40OE,3.52M33 and we don't have a theme for all versions... please don't talk about something you don't know...
There aren't themes fully compatible with 3.71M33 but that's not DA work...
Read a book.
or google it
I am on 3.40 OE-A .... I want 3.71 M33....
How do I do this? Should I do this?
yes you should. if u dont use custom themes*homebrew themes* then you should. u can use sony themes on here and they are pretty good.
You got to upgrade to 3.52 M33-3 or 4 first. Then upgrade to 3.71 M33 enjoy :)
M33 3.52 v4 is perfectly fine for me because it supports popsloader. Popsloader gives you better PS1 game compatibility.
Bye DarkaleX
I Love you
We Love you
Come back soon ;)
Well, make that two questions:
1) What are kernal files/what do they do?
2) I have PSP 3.51 M33, would it work on that?
First kernal files are what modify the PSP into using programs like homebrew and CFW updates.
Second update to 3.52 M33-3/4 then update to 3.71 m33 then apply this 1.50 patch.
Thanks buddy. There was actually one more thing I forgot to ask:
Is there a high chance, if any at all, of it bricking my PSP?
Kernel files do not 'modify' the psp but rather, ARE the psp. More technically, the kernel files are the operating system of the psp.
By installing this 1.50 kernel update, you're basically installing the 1.50 kernel subset over the 3.71 kernel superset to alow 1.50 homebrew to be used on m33 3.71. Thats basically how all of the CFWs work :) FYI
There's always a tiny chance of bricking your psp, whenever you write to flash. Even if you are using official firmwares. But thats only if you pull the ac plug with insufficient battery or pull the battery out oO. Don't do that and you'll be okay.
The update wont work anyway if you have insufficient battery (70% I think). There is a way to bypass this but I forgot how and even if I knew I wouldn't tell. It may lead to bricking.
Thank you , Dark_AleX.
I will never forget you T_T
I'll wait for a few of you overzealous materialists to brick before I consider installing this. :)
The Uncreated
i installed and i didn't brick
PS:sorry for my bad english :p
you have "Desperdar del cementerio" to take care of your bricks... ;)
Thanks Dark_AleX for the patch but I going to skip this so it will be fair for slims. lol
Then maybe you can start skipping 2 of your 3 meals a day. It's only fair for the homeless.
Zing!
YOUR A LEGEND MAN GOD BLESS YOU
I couldn't run any of my PSX games on my PSP with 3.71 M33 (without the 1.50 kernel) so i downgraded back to 3.52 M33-4 ....can somebody tell if they are able to run their PSX games now after they install the 1.50 kernel on 3.71 M33 ?
i was able to play PSX games on my 3.71 m33 before I installed this patch.
Yes PSx games work on this firmware.
Thanks Dark_Alex
i succesfully installed it
Thnx for all
Chaoticgamer, i tried Resident Evil 2 and 3 on my PSP, none of them worked with 3.71 M33...and by that i mean both of them froze at the intro screen. (i had all my plugins removed and disabled them.. still no luck)
now i'm on 3.52 M33-4 and now they work excellent...thats pretty weird ...
Damn I wish I had it on PS1. I woulda made an EBOOT out of it. I have it on N64 :(
Oh and speaking of which, you should give making your own EBOOTs a shot, they work 100% for me and I'm running 3.51 M33
does anyone know a plugin converter? thanks
PS:sorry for my bad english
ff7 works on 3.71 m33 1.50kernel for me
its PSX, btw
Edited by Mabie A. (Q.J. NET Staff) , because:
the rest of the comment was just spam
Is It Worth It??? Did It Add Any New Features besides what sony added???
but its still better that 3.52 m33-4.
some plugins don't work, i don't know why (can someone explain it, please?).we will have to wait for some updates
I think I'll go back to 3.52m33, I can't live without ir shell
agreed
That's because it's designed SPECIFICALLY FOR 3.52 M33.
Gracias DAX por tu trabajo para la comunidad PSP. Todos apreciamos tus CFW's! Ajola que no te salgas de la comunidad PSP pero yo lo entieñdo se lo haces :)
Hmm shouldn't this be able to fix some problems with plugins working? But I cant seem to get my music plugin to work.
yeah its ierd ith them. i was on 3.71 m33 and none of my psx wprked(crash bandicoot 3 crash bash and hot shots golf 2) went back to 3.52 m33-4 and they work. can some 1 tell me y plz? when all psx games work on 3.71 m33 i will upgrade as there were 3 things i want from it other than iso's
1.psx - waiting
2.hombrew - got
3.good themes - got.
if u want more themes than just the sony ones on 3.71 m33 then go to consolespotdotnet obviously the dot is . well done dax!
how did you go back to 3.52 m33-4? i dont have pandora...im having problems with the themes after i'd tried to replace the xmb wave and semi briked. restored it now but i cant install any official themes it gives me a message "An internal error has occured"
any suggestions? running on 3.71 with 1.50 patch on IC6001 mobo
snes tyl 0.4.2 me doesn't work
ohhh.... on an 8GB card that is.
moved it to a 1gig before posting and it works fine! IRshell works on the 8GB
psx works fine as well so everything is in order! Except I can't be bothered with one thing that *could* be a pain in the rear... which plugins to use? 3.71 or 1.5? I'm sure you could keep a copy of both on your memory stick by renaming the 3.71 ones and adding the new name to the text (ie. game.txt pops.txt vsh.txt) but you'd still have to do a cold boot every time to enable/disable the proper ones for whatever you're doing.
At any rate, THANK YOU DAX!!! You da man :D
Thank you once again!!! Works like a charm, too. Dark Alex rules!!! :)
Just installed this and have a problem. A black box shows up at the bottom right corner with the caption SEQ -2147352262: -2147352262 It goes away only while playing a game.
it keeps telling me "incorrect or inexistant 150.pbp at root" i renamed the eboot like it told me even downloaded a new 1.50 eboot and still got this error someone please help me because i have lost all my 1.5 app usage because of this update i was fine until this and i might as well have standard fw if i cant get my kernel up and running
That your 150.pbp file is in the root of the memory stick NOT in the update folder.
Cheers
