hey
wondering if any peeps could help me, i installed 3.80 m33-4 on a psp slim + lite downloaded the NTSC + PAL of resi evil 2 and it freezes at the "this game may contain blood and gore screen" needless to say its VERY fustrating, ive tried to set the correct source code, hasn't worked, i would appreciate any help you can give me
thx
hmm my ffVII still crashes my psp
it crashes during any battle
there are colored lines, the screen flashes and the psp freezes and restarts
any ideas on how to fix this or what's causing it?
btw mine is a PSP Phat running 3.80 M33-3 with the updated popsloader
k i updated to 3.80 M33-4 but same problem
Wonder what causes it?
Only firmware FF7works on with popsloader + 3.10 and 3.11
I finished it on a 3.11 popsloader plugin +] on my my 3.52 PSP
worked on 3.71-4
but now no :(
im stayin on 3.52 M33-4 till i hear this is perfect cuz ive never had a prblem wit it
ok go back to 3.80cfw using the despierta from the grave v3. DONT load the m33-2 load m33-3 and then m33-4 then after that at the end load 1.5krnl i sent like 20 mins doing this. but that helped me and for sum strange reason i dont need the popsloader to play anything just the m33 drivers
really?? if i pass the 3.80-2 and go to 3.80-3 and 4 my ps1 games will never crash??
I am running 3.80 M33-4 on PSP Slim
Go to http://www.dark-alex.org and download:
- PSARDumper (M33 PSARDumper (up to 3.7x)
- 3.80 M33 Popsloader. (Download)
Now you will need to find the Official Firmware Update for 3.72 and download it.
Connect your PSP via USB.
From the OFW 3.72, copy the EBOOT.PBP file to the root folder of your memory stick.
From the 3.80 M33 Popsloader, copy the seplugins folder to the root folder of your memory stick
From the PSARDumper, copy the "newpsardumper" folder to your "PSPGAME" folder
Now disconnect your PSP from USB.
Go to "Game" on the PSP and select "NEW PSAR DUMPER" and then press the square button.
This will extract the pops files you will need into folder F0. After that has completed and you are back to the regular PSP screen, reconnect the PSP to USB.
I renamed the "F0" folder on the PSP to "F0372" but you can rename it to your preference. I created a "pops372" folder on my computer and then copied kdpops.prx kdpopsman.prx vshmodulepafmini.prx and vshmodulelibpspvmc.prx to the "pops372" folder on my computer.
Add "372" to the end of each of these prx files in the "pops372" folder to read "pops372.prx", "libpspvmc372.prx", etc.
Copy the four renamed files from the computer into the "popsloader" folder in the "seplugins" folder on the PSP.
Delete the EBOOT.PBP (3.72 update) file from the root directory of the memory stick since you no longer need it at this time.
Turn off your PSP. Press down on the Right button while turning on your PSP to go into recovery mode.
Go to "Plugins ->" and select "popsloader.prx [POPS] (Disabled)" to change it to enabled.
Select "Back" then "Exit" and your PSP should boot.
Start FFVII. If this is your first time running using the popsloader, it will give you a list asking which pops to load. Select pops 3.72. The game should start and hopefully work without the crash during the battle now.
If your psp hangs and you see a black screen after loading FFVII, you probably tried loading popsloader without pops files or selected something other than 3.72 (since only 3.72 would be installed so far). If this is the case, reset the configuration by deleting the "conf.bin" file in "seplugins" folder and "config.bin" file in the "popsloader" folder on your PSP. After deleting those two files, try loading FFVII again and you should see the pops list again. Select "pops 3.72" and FFVII should start.
Ok, the blog removed the slashes in my previous post.
"PSPGAME" folder should be "PSP -> GAME"
the four prx files you need from the "F0" folder are:
F0 -> kd -> pops.prx
F0 -> kd -> popsman.prx
F0 -> vsh -> module -> pafmini.prx
F0 -> vsh -> module -> libpspvmc.prx
It seems you do not need to put the prx files in subfolders within in the "popsloader" folder.
After you get FFVII to work correctly, go ahead and delete the "F0" or "F0372" folder from your PSP root directory if you think you will no longer need it.
I've been playing FF7 using popsloader and the files from 3.10 firmware and never had a crash yet. FF8 works the best using this firmware, but crashes fairly often. All the Tomb Raider games only work using the 3.03 or 3.02 firmware files.
Decrypting and dumping the correct pops files from the sony firmware updates was a complete pain in the arse. Luckily, I found a complete download of all of them online. Look around long enough and you can find them.
That would certainly simplify things. I couldn't find this compilation online, hence the instructions for getting the pops files from their natural habitat. I will keep exploring in search of this treasure chest.
I just checked the network update and the update came back as m33-4, not m33-3.
3.80 M33-3 was realesed couple of minutes ago and now 3.80 M33-4 WOW
DaX is catching up to Sony oe firmware in how fast he releases update patches right after a new FW release.
LOL
i saw m33-3 and i just refreshed the page and it says m33-4 wtf...lol
i have 3.80 m33-2
Question 1: do i have to upgrade to m33-3 first?
Question 2:if i get the new popsloader thing will it erase or corrupt any of my data from the past popsloader?
they are cumulative. Meaning you can just install the latest one, and have all the updates.
saves you time
I went from 2 to 4.
i have 3.80 m33-2
Question 1: do i have to upgrade to m33-3 first?
Question 2:if i get the new popsloader thing will it erase or corrupt any of my data from the past popsloader?
sry for the double post it was an accedent
But How do i install this new popsloader and what are sony pops files?
1 - just install the new update (make sure it is activated in the recovery menu [plugins ->popsloader])
2 - psx games
wat is popsloader haha i never found it and ive got 3.52 M33-4
Sweet :D
I have already installed 1.5 kernel add on on m33-2, after I upgrade to m33-4, need I to patch the 1.5 kernel addon again?
.
Updated to 3.80 M33-4 but still..all PMP players do not work.!!!!
PPA, PMPAVC MOd, PMP Can't watch movies for now..
Any tips for this or do we need to wait for updates from the players.????
well i was on 3.80 m33-2 yesterday and went back to 3.71 m33-4 i want to upgrade again but only if someone can confirm ffvii working with the new popsloader support
nope still crashing during battle
i play ff7 fine and i dont have the popsloader and have 3.80m33-4 slim
cant you find it a lil odd.. some ppl are having prob. on ps1 games..
and most of them are in phat psp..
does on the slim type a more on and ok side..
im on a slim, last i tried was ff7 on 3.80 m33-2 and it crashes in battle with funny lines on the screen then the psp shuts off
really??
i wonder why i does that..
So Sweet..
DAX is really burnin on these days..
Dark Alex is God's gift to the PSP scene. I kinda wish I knew what "nids" are.
NETWORK UPDATE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! Thats got to be one of the coolest things I've seen in a while. I am a casual homebrew user, so a lot of news on here doesn't excite me.
But I wanted to check something in recovery, then saw this option all the way at the bottom. I didn't know about it!!! So I made sure it was enabled, then downloaded and saw it as M33-4!!!!!!!!!!!! What a surprised. Installed and BAM!!
Thanks D_A and Team M33!!!! This feature is FANTASTIC!!!
-Bildo-
u drop the seplugins folder into the root of the memory stick and uxit usb mode and go into recovery mode, one uv done tht go into plgins and enable the pops plugin but seriously iv tryed it and when i tryed my resident evil 2 and res 3 even final fantasy it came up a menu with pops and didnt matter wht 1 i picked it j crashed on screen and whenever i loaded the game bk up my game would never start!!! iv went bk to 3.52m33-4 coz at least all my games worked bk then and i didnt even use pops either so its the safer and best cfw out! and another thing all my games still got the stupid dragula crap image in my save games lol so much for DAX fixing tht!!!
if anyone knows how to get most of ps1 games working on 3.80m33-4 plz HELP US ALL coz so far all these updates R pointless!!!
I have the same problem let me know plz if you figure out how tofix it
3.52 M33-4 is the best. hardly any on my favorite plugins work at all on 3.80! I don't know what these stoners are talking about "perfect cfw" for. ~?~
i just re downgraded to 3.52 m33 4 its better and my wifi is screwed up so radio doesen't matter i need a new wlan board for my psp fat
i think you dont have the pops files in the seplugins/popsloader folder
I had the same problem. After you upgrade the popsloader, you will have to recreate the prx files for it to work again. Mine did the same thing, but after I decrypted the fws, it worked again. I still have some problems with psx games though, and I'm on the phat.
it worked for me after i get the prx files in the popsloader folder i launch ff7 holding the L button and select 3.72 pops and no more color lines and crashing
hold R button not L
Funny...cause i have 3.80 M33-4 and im playing PSX parasite eve...all i did was disable pops in the recovery mode and my PSX games work just fine....thanks DAX 4 the upgrades.
or do i need M33-3 first?
You dont have to updat to m33-3 first, you can go from m33-2 straight to m33-4. Obviously on the 3.80 m33.
does this support custom xmbs?
Only the ones converted to work on 3.80.
PTFs work perfectly.
I don't know where else to report this, but I think that the popsloader still has a problem with slower memory sticks, or perhaps larger memory sticks. I have two: 1gb sandisk and a 4gb Lexar. Both fresh formatted, no save data: popsloader works perfectly on the 1gb Sandisk, however, the popsloader menu doesn't come up on the Lexar (tested with Resident Evil 2) and it just locks up at the violence warning screen (which is what happens when there is no popsloader and you try to play RE2 on most newer firmware)
that Lexar sticks don't support plugins... And Popsloader.prx is obviously a plugin.
I did a quick search, looks like you are right. I guess I shouldn't have went with the cheapest memory stick.
Maybe this would be a good time to upgrade... I could get an 8gb stick.. should I go with Sandisk or Sony?
I would suggest getting a Sandisk, they are usually cheaper than Sony sticks and definitely better.
I have a Sandisk Memory Stick PRO Duo ULTRA II which is supposed to be faster than normal memory sticks. But you can really notice the speed difference between Sandisk and Sony by trying to an DATA.DXAR for the older firmwares like 3.52 M33. It took me about 25 minutes with my old 1GB Sony and about 10 minutes with my 4GB Sandisk.
hello i have a fat psp ta model with ctf 3.71 m33-4
i tried upgrading to 3.80m33 but when the update open the sony updater i get a error message
?????
is 3.80 been confirmed working on ta models
i have a pandora universal bat if i need it but i dunno how it will help me so...anyone got an idea why i get the message
The system configuration of this psp system does not appear to be correct
the update cannot be completed contact technical support for assistance
(drnffffffd7)????????????????
use the key cleaner then unpatch the key 5....it will 100% work...
i had the same error when i updated straightaway.
get keycleaner 1.4, unpatch key 5, and the update will go smoothly.
never unpatch key 5 on TA-082 models.. You should patch the key 5 from the Noobz's patch to Chilly Willy's patch.
But the 3.80 updater automatically unpatches key 5, so you can't have that problem with it. Probably some other key is messed up. To fix it, try KeyCleaner.
Forgive my noobness, but where might I find the Popsloader files necessary to run 3.80? None of the listed files show what is required for 3.80. Only 3.71.
now im totaly confuse.. some say they have this prob. some say it works perfectly.. DA pls. do something or xplain why this is happening..
Hi people! i need help with the poploader. i have never been able to get the thing to work. i have downloaded the new poploader, placed the seplugin folder in the root of the MS, put my prx files in seplugins/poploader and turned the plugin on at the recovery menu.
but when i go to play a game, the xmb dissaperes leaving the backround and my custom wave and just hangs there. no menu, no game. plz can anyone help.
been trying to get this to work for 3 months. On 3.80 m33-4 (was on 3.71 m33-4). M33 Rules!
Great job DaX!!!
Although,im unable to get remote play to work :(, the PS3 keeps showing up, unable to detect PSP. And the PSP shows up on the PS3 as "USB Device()".
Once again, great job!
im running 3.80 m33-4 with 1.5 addon and my remote play works perfectly. did u regester ur psp with ur ps3? under ps3 menu remoteplay>register device. have it set up so i can access my pc music trough my ps3 media sharing from my psp over the internet
Yeah, I did that and still no luck. I will probably re-downgrade and try again. Just odd how it shows as "USB Device()" under photos, video and music. Should show up as PSP.
Now, did you first register through USB and playstation3 should be in your network. Your ps3 would have your device name mine is X.
If yo're at home via router.then just click on Ps3 to connect.if you're not at home then via internet , but first you must enable remote play via psp ON. at the bottom menu.
Try it out..Now did you use Pandora to downgrade back? to 1.5 then back up to 3.71 M33?
im comparing my 2 PSP™ with 3.71 M33-4 and 3.80 M33-4 and 3.71 M33-4 is a lot faster than 3.80 M33-4....3.80 lags in most games...and this update is a *****ty one....im still on 3.71 M33-4 now..
it would be helpful if you could make an illustrated comparison or a chart to show actual load times, which areas each CFW surpasses the other, pros and cons, etc. and details of your testing environment like, memory stick brand and size, iso title and size, load times, etc.
im sure everyone will appreciate it, i know i would!
its really slow..
im playing Tekken DR, and it lag for a second.. not in 3.71m33 its running in full speed and it never lags..
and my bro. plays Genzo Suikoden and he tells me the sound is very low, and its volume is in maxx..
i go back to 3.71 m33-4..
means i cant....but trust me it so slow...
I hope it's a while before sony releases a new PSP firmware, even though Dark Alex is pretty quick. I finally get to try out remote play without giving up Popsloader or 1.5 kernel mode! Yay!
with remote play u can access ur ps3 camera if u got the ps3 eye game aquarimum. one of the few games use with remote play. besides ps1 titles
