Def Jam Fight for NY: The TakeoverFans of the hip hop fighting genre will be pleased that they can now lay down some smackdown while getting around. The Electronic Arts (EA) knuckle-basher for the Playstation Portable, Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover, has now hit the shelves.

Def Jam Fight for NY: The Takeover stars several big name hip-hop celebrities such as Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Snoop Dogg, and Xzibit. It's got new moves, new venues, a wireless connectivity feature (for one on one matches), and a mode where you can create customize your own fighter and deck him out in designer gear from known hip hop fashion lines like Phat Farm, Def Jam University, and Ecko Unlimited.

The game sells for around $39 at most online stores, and many user reviews online have given it a fair rating. Put those two together and this game might be a decent buy. Let us know when you get to try it.

I'm playing this now... at first I thought it would be a watered-down port (as most PSP games seem to be), but they actually changed around the gameplay in a lot of subtle ways. I loved this game on console, so I'm quite glad they updated it in the translation.

The camera angles are a lot different, opting for a more action-based view. Hit and miss, but all in all it looks quite purty.

Check it out.

I tried this game out last night, and it feels sluggish... nothing compared to Tekken.. the character customization was ok though.

But yeah, for me to be at over 50% after one day seems kinda short.

And what do you mean who gives a crap? I'm sure a lot of people like this game.
