Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes available this summer - Image 1The first time we covered Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes, we just shared with you one gaming site's first impression of the game because there were no other available details at that time.

But to make up for that, we now have the video game's packshot, new screenshots, and several information from Namco Bandai and Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) themselves.

Anyway, Ultimate Ninja Heroes is actually the first ever Wi-Fi enabled fighting game. Because of this players are able to create a powerful squad of Ninjas all based from the Naruto universe of course, and battle against as well as trade profiles with other players via ad-hoc connection.

Sounds like the redone/translated Naruto Nultimate Portable...

Thank god, I was getting tired of trying to decipher the Japanese in my NNP ISO.

uh what?

street fighter alpha 3 max has adhoc wifi multiplayer. as does Tekken DR....

 » wtf ?!

I personally think QJ is being paid by Bandaï to keep up the bull$hitting.
First they say this game is a whole brand new concept yahoooo stars in the sky.
Then it's the first ever Wi-Fi enabled fighting game xD

Next to come, "it's the first sound enabled psp game ever in the whole wide galaxy" ?

Nutimate Portable, the jap version, may have been the "first wi-fi enabled fighting game" at the time it was released (that is, about 2 years ago), but at the time this EU/US translated version is out, there have been plenty of adhoc enabled punchin'n kicking games for psp....

Namco surely seems to give head nicely :°]

 » oh I see

I thought they meant infrastructure, otherwise yeah that's stupid

   Re: EdgeKun (Unregistered) - 2007-05-18
 » Plenty others.

Street Fighter Alpha 3, Darkstalkers, Guilty Gear XX#R, Guilty Gear Judgment, Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokais, Tekken, just to name a few.

Seriously, normally I hate people who whine and ***** about QJ's writing. In this case though, what the hell is wrong with the writer for this article?

 » ad-hoc...

ad-hoc support is great and all, but when are we gonna see some fighting games or any other games for that matter come to the psp with support for INFRASTRUCTURE!!! THAT'S what we want Sony, yaheard? The only game I can think of that really utilizes infrastructure is NFS:MW.. games like Naruto or Guilty Gear could really benefit from it!

 » well

Sad, this game already came out in japan. Its naruto narutimate portable. All this is, is a english translated version. Nothing new.

If anyone wants a real naruto game to get there fill. Play NHM(naruto huricane mugen) or NBA(naruto battle areana). Both are for the PC. There mugen based and have like every character in the naruto franchise playable. The 2d may draw it back for some people, but i think its a bonus.

 » Good game.

I owned the Japanese version, I played the hell out of that game. Never could put it down.. Though the screen shot of Sasuke doing chidori seems to be new, because in the japanese version his special doesn't do that, he goes goes into cursed seal form and uses chidori.
