There's still no kernal access but you can still brick your psp! You can only muck around with flash0, the ipl (associated with downgraders etc) is of flimits as of yet.

rename of xmb icon label is not possible yet. not even for fw 2.71. so far rename of xmb only possible for fw 1.5. i can bet that a downgrader for 2.8 arriving faster than u can edit the xmb menu.

If you don't know what it does then you'll just brick your psp...so stay away!!!
Also nobody is going to fetch/make .pmf files for you, you'll have to get them yourself like the rest of us...

To a "n00b", the contents of the posting don't explain what "flashing" is or what it does. And when people try to ask about it in the forums, they get responses like "If you don't know what it does then you'll just brick your psp...", or no response at all.
Do your readers a favor and at least *try* to write a short description for people who aren't "1337" in PSP hacking.
