So, you've read the manga, loved the anime and got hooked on the games, but are you ready to see Son Goku and his friends take on the big screen? 20th Century Fox surely is.According to Canadian news site Canada.com, 20th Century Fox has given the go-ahead to three major film productions, one of them being a live-action movie based on Akira Toriyama's brainchild. The movie will reportedly have a budget of no less than US$ 100 million, and will begin production soon with no details as to when it's projected to be shown. The Dragon Ball Z franchise is considered as one of the most popular literary franchises in the world, with deals encompassing print, TV, video games, clothing and toys. Let's hope that this project yields results that will give justice to the legendary series. We'd love to see how the actors will go Super Saiyan on us. |

You know how some people keep complaining that Japan always gets the good stuff out waaay before anyone else? Well, here's some food for thought. Atari's Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road (DBZ: Shin Budokai 2 for short) is actually just coming out in Japan on June 7. Proof? Here's a recent TV spot for the game aired in Japan:
Shocking, huh? Especially since it's a game based on a hard-hitting anime franchise in Japan, of all things. Feels like getting slammed on the face with Broly's fist. The game was released in North America sometime back in March and in our most-recent screenshot article, a couple of people have already expressed how they've beaten the game already (twice, thrice, and so on). While that's all and good, you may now direct all your "Why does Japan get it first" complaints to Super Buu for him to absorb. |

Unexpected confrontations abound in Another Road, so if you're still having second thoughts about getting this game check out the video below. It also has some info on the villains and heroes in the game, along with a look at how Bulma's time machine and the Dragon Balls will be used in the game. |

We only have a couple of winks left before the Saiyans, Namek, and other creatures from other planets start wreaking havoc in the little world we call the PSP. Yep, our Kamehameha-ing Dragonball collectors will be invading retail stores tomorrow (March 20) with the release of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road title for the PSP. And what better way to celebrate this other than releasing a new batch of screens displaying the game's graphical evolution. Dimps Corporation seems to be doing a mighty fine job in developing the game because the 3D fighter is looking better with each exposure to the media. This time we're treated to images of the boy from the future, Trunks, the indestructible Majin Boo, Goku, Gohan, etc. We'll stop the senseless babbling here, and let the fiery pictures do the talking. The rest of the screens await after the jump! |

Confession: Trunks has always been one of this writer's biggest videogame character crushes since time immemorial. So it's with ardent zeal that I report to you guys about this Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai Another Road gameplay vid we found which places the focus on my childhood crushie, Trunks. (cue giddy schoolgirl, haha!) As y'all probably know already, the game it set to conquer your handhelds on March 20, and will feature virtually all the characters you've known and loved in the series. The vid above packs in loads of action but unfortunately the voice-overs can get a bit annoying ("take this! take this! take this!" -- Ugh.), so you might wanna turn the volume a bit down, hehe. If you want (and if you're a fellow Trunks fanatic), you can also check out the Trunks vs. Majin Buu vid we featured earlier. March 20 isn't that far off guys, so if you're all psyched to get this game, it's best you load up on all the previews and sneak peeks so you won't get scorched when you finally get your hands on the game. Enjoy the vid! |
