One good thing you can get from listening intently when someone else is speaking is the ability to read between the lines. It's even better when the speaker is someone who's presenting something at E3. At the presentation of Buzz! Master Quiz during GameSpot Live's E3 2008 Stage Show, attentive audience who took the time to read between the lines managed to get hints concerning the implementation of the trophy system in the PSP. Game producer Emerson Escobar informed the audience about the trophy system that will be implemented for the game: answering quiz questions within one second will merit a "lightning finger" trophy, while answering within half of a second will let gamers grab the "supersonic" trophy. It should be noted that Buzz! Master Quiz is a PSP title. When asked if the trophies mean that the PSP will indeed get its own trophy system, this is all Escobar had to say: "Check back with us later." While the idea of the PSP getting trophies looks a bit farfetched at first glance, it should be noted that the PlayStation Network ID covers both the PS3 and PSP, making the concept of cross-platform achievements easier to achieve. But will this rumor hold water in the upcoming developments? Do stay tuned. Related articles:

I would love for that to be implemented. I would love the fact that Sony is tying things together in the world of PS3/PSP and unifying everything so it doesn't seem like total apart machines.
I also doubt it would only be for slim models, as it would be a simple stat tracking system for the trophies that would report to a server when you connected your PSP to the internet.

ok im sorry but i thought he was talking about slim chances, anyway he obviously didnt
also im sorry but mem wont be too trouble some, just look at the game selection screen it will be similar
its not like the ps3, where users can send you messages at anytime, its simply only when you launch the trophy system will it be read, and its entirely possible
and i think after that statement "check back with us later", is quite clear that its coming

» You never know...
It could only be for that single game, meaning the trophies are in-game. But if it's true and they are cross-platformed then it's going to be awesome.

It will be a cold day in hell before I get a slim PSP.
Yeah, I really need Skype, TV out, and slightly faster UMD games.

» my guess
My guess is it's simply in-game trophies (not a full blown firmware-applied trophy system).

» Hackers.
They will probably avoid a PSP trophy system because of hackers.
