Warriors Orochi 2 - Image 1Just out of the presswire, it looks like Namco Bandai won't be the only publisher with a four-game booth. At least, that's what the announcements have been telling us so far. But what makes this E3 special for Koei is that it'll be the first time for them to publicly debut new titles outside Japan.

Coming to E3 will be:
  • Monster Racers (DS)
  • Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll (PS3)
  • Warriors: Legends of Troy
  • Warriors Orochi 2 (PSP)
Monster Racers takes the Pokemon concept and takes it to racing. You'll be traveling the world in search of monsters to catch, train, nurture, and race. This 2D racer has been featured as far back as TGS 2008 and will make it to E3 this year as well.

Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll  will be the name of the North American release of the PS3 action RPG, Trinity: Zill O'll Zero. This one is also developed by Omega Force, the guys who developed Dynasty Warriors. Speaking of Dynasty Warriors, with 6 already dated and with Strikeforce already available, that leaves the PSP version of Warriors Orochi 2 , the Dynasty-Samurai Warriors crossover, to be the only DW title in the Koei booth.

That leaves us with Warriors: Legends of Troy. With senior VP Amos Ip saying that they'll be raising the bar for "classic games rich with history," it could be a Dynasty Warriors-like beat-'em-up set in the events in the Trojan War, the same way Dynasty Warriors is from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The Iliad may not be history, but the literature would sure make a fantastic game.
