PSP case - Image 1While PlayStation Portables have undergone a price drop as of late in the US, prospective buyers in Europe may still have to wait a while to get their handhelds at cheaper rates.

"We have no announcements to make about the PSP in the European market at this time," said a Sony spokesperson to game business website Games Industry.

The Core PSP bundle once sold for US$ 199.99 on retail, but is now available for US$ 169.99. In the UK meanwhile, PSPs are still sold at GBP 150 each.

The bundle includes the PSP handheld game console, an AC adapter and a battery. We'll keep you posted for more information regarding price drops in Europe.

If u dont have family/friend in Asia/US import something (gaming console etc) is not profitable.

its pretty hard to find shops (or ebay sellers) who will send package:

- as a gift with lower value on custom declaration
- via standard priority post (not a courier)

i only know dvdcrave.com (1 year ago, i ordered nintendo ds from there, price? : ~120euros)

sony is going to have to change something. teh ps3 is here and the shopd are having a difficult time shifting them . the rrp is 425 i think , but many shops are giving huge discounts so you can pick it up for soemthing like £360 .
expensive still, considering its a gaming console but more inline with the 360. if you add up the totals of what you get from the 2 consoles the 360 was more expensive on launch for a fully capable system ( play n charge kit, xbox live, wi fi = £100+ ) and for a significantly less capable machine ( NOISY , less powerfull , no HD/blu ray) , but microsoft was wise to leave those things out, it is after all a gaming machine . people living in estates or students and children arent particularly knowledgable, or care yet about HD , the market hasnt moved to HD yet , they do not see HD as a HUGE plus . they dont even KNOW about HD , so all they see is THE MOST EXPENSIVE CONSOLE on the market. The xbox aimed at the middle ground and they got higher sales..and the wii aimed very low ... and got great sales.

150 aint that bad though. Taking into account it was 180 on the release day.

I got mine from Japan; imported via ebay. Cost around £180 but atleast i looked cool having a PSP before alot of people.

Looking cool is the best thing you can do kids.

dotty's right

looking cool IS the best thing you can do

you know what makes you look cool??

getting stuff before other people

so if you wanna be cool, go out there and have sex with the nastiest streetwalkers, that way you can brag to people in school by saying you're the first in your class to get herpes'n'crabs
